We've got a complete HJ61 body tub and frame sitting on blocks at our shop in Abbotsford. It was laid on it's side but for the purposes you are talking it would be ideal. Doors and other misc are available as well.

I have a pair of NEW OEM full quarters... these are the complete pieces from the rain gutter all the way down and from inside the side doors to inside the cargo doors... located on Long Island, NY $800 plus shipping.

Good timing,

I've got a couple of small bubbles starting to show under the paint on the edge of the rear wheel wells and the bottom of the drivers side back door. Went by a body shop for and estimate on Friday (I was curious)......guy is telling me about two G's to do it right. Cut it out, new metal and repaint.

Considering my options right now.

yeah, it's not cheap to do it right. and if you can't find good metal to work with after taking a grinder to the nasties then you need new panels. i work at a body shop, $2k isn't far fetched depending on severity. we don't touch the stuff unless it's minor or people pay to replace the panel because it usually comes back and a huge waste of money. I just got an 86 FJ60, I freaked when i looked up new full quarter skins today at Spectra Off Road-- $1400 some dollars a piece. that's soooo wak. skins for new cars rarely cost that, that's beyond porsche prices and a lot of high end cars. I did find quarter patch panels which happens to have everything I need. lower section behind the wheel and a thin strip up over the wheels to about where the rear door starts. better, $361 each at Cool Cruisers. way better and less labor. you end up splicing in a patch cut to fit instead of a full quarter swap but time and money is worth something. anyone know of a better source out there than Cool Cruisers for 60/62 patch panels? I expected them to be around $75-$150.

My full quarters are still for sale (in the FS section)... The nice part about the full panels is that you don't have a visible seam to deal with... working in a body shop this probably isn't a huge issue but the labor is still there... and these are CHEAPER than the CCOT patch panels (price reduced to $700/pair)... AND they are genuine OEM!

If I was looking to make my truck look right I would do the full quarters... but I have some rust starting under the edge of the side glass as well as lower on the quarters...

I had mine done, had a donor quarter. Rust in the rear wheel wells and a big multi-creased dent on the corner across two body seams. The guy just used 2" wide strips of the donor that he plasma'd out. It was $2000 all said and done after matching the single stage paint and painting the back 3rd of the truck. The body guy said he liked old Toyota steel, said he felt like toyota metal "wanted" to go back to where it was. I guess my point being $2K is spot on for that work.

I found some a long time ago and bookmarked them:

They are just skins so not full piece with pinch weld - see if these will work:

Try cruiserparts. They have some pretty clean used panels. One word of warning. You got to tell James exactly what you want. They do stand by their parts as far as returns and such.

I had a Junk yards cut two rear QP's out of two different trucks on their lot. I then gave them to a body guy who did like what Trapper was describing, cut the metal back and welded in the new.

I got the QP's for $200 each, and the welding done for $1200.00
