Too far north. Too far east.
Not having a good time. I still haven't had time to deal with the head gasket on the 40, and now this.

I was driving home from the store and the truck just quit. EFI fuse was popped. Since the last thing I worked on was the fuel pump I disconnected the pump, installed a new fuse, and turned the key. The fuse held. Reconnect the pump, and pop. There is a short in the bracket or the pump.

The exciting part? I just filled up. The aux tank gravity feeds into the primary, so there is no way I can just remove the bracket from the tank. I need to drain the aux first.

I'm not having a good day.

Wiring on bracket is the 1st place I'd look. Same thing happened to me on the ride back from the Rubithon in the middle of AZ....not fun.

Most likely bracket. There is a short between the two terminals. Draining the fuel now so I can pull the bracket. I do have another bracket, but the only reason it's not in is because Mr. Toyoda wrenched on the hose so dang tight I can't get it off. Going to plan "B" as soon as I can get the bracket out of the tank. Gonna have to "Yankee engineer" it without hacking anything.

Truck is running. Fixed? Who the heck knows.

Wires moved?

Need one of these?
