I'm not even close to having my roof rack even started. although i did get the material purchased. olso got sidetracked and put new 315 KO2's on. this is my 4th set of tires in 4 years. first new set. they ride nice very smooth with road force balancing from a local shop kctrends. tried other shops and they couldn't handle the size. the cruiser has become my DD so no real time for the big projects till i get a second vehicle.

playing with LED marker lights and replacing my front blinkers with a low profile LED mainly to make room to raise the ac dryer. i don't have any complete pictures but some progress testing pics.

Some 3/4" marker lights that I coated in nite shades to black them out. Still very bright for less than $1 each.

I have a bunch of white clear cases as well

This has 4 3led light pods. My plan is to try flexible strips and see if I can get 3 rows and 10 led per strips. That will really show through the tint. I'll take better pictures of the process on the next round.

Lost the rear freeze plug on my 4bt. It a common issue on high rmp but I'm about 3k max. Guess I'll put one of the block off plates in with bypass capability

Yes 6bt as well. Did a bunch of research. And all the failures Seemed to be 3500-4000 rpm related. I do have a 3800 gov spring. But only past 3k. 3-4 times under no load for seconds. My shift points keep me under 3k. But it fuels hard through all gears. I have a block plate and had thought about installing when I put the motor in and didn't. Hind sight is 20/20 on this one.

Might make something up for mine then. Easy to do and get too now...... Not so much later lol.

Got my freeze plug block plate installed. Working blind with the back of the block I didn't want to trust only an orings seal. I rtv'd the plate just above the orings as a backup after blindly cleaning and sanding sealing surfaces. Crossing my fingers that this will fix it without having to pull the engine. Or that there was no cause like blown head gausket....

I need to do the gauge sinsutivity fix mod that I've read up on. The gauge didn't move. It might have dripped a hair by the time I got home. I heard a mild pop saw something in the rear view mirror. All gauges looked good had about a mile to get off the highway and a few blocks home. I chanced it. We'll see if that was a mistake or not in the coming days.

I would expect the gauge to drop off with no coolent. Maybe I'm mistaken on that assumption?

Temp gauge mod is a must in my book with the Cummins.

Temp gauge in LC is terrible. Do half k mod. I was at 217 and was right in the middle of the stock gauge.

Finally found some time to play with my roof rack with the warmer weather. I went a little crazy with an led idea I had and now have like 30 3/4" holes for recessed lights both marker and white perimeter lighting

I think I'll black them all out a little with tint so so it doesn't look as covered in lights

I beleive engineered diesel makes freeze plugs that screw into place to mitigate this issue. My understanding is this is mostly only an issue on high HP cummins.

Got a little bit larger compressor on a new turbo to see if I can't get a little more top end power. Also test fitted an hx35 way to big of a turbo but I'm going to try it in a few weeks to see how the top end is and see if I can support it with a twin setup.

Haven't driven yet will double check installation tomorrow night and see how it does.

It's a 44mm inducer hx30 vs 40mm on my old. 4btswaps has some good info. There is a bigger version. Just not as common and more expensive.

Just rolled over 240k miles. So have about 10k miles on the cummins swap. Still going strong . My last fill up was about 17.6mpg on winter diesel and having fun with the new turbo. I'm impressed.

Been a while since an update. Family has gotten in the way in the best way possible. Been going though turbo's. 46mm hx30 is next. Also just got done with wiring the lights on my roof rack. I think there is 100 ft of wiring in this thing

I hope so. Next step is twin's. Have the hx35 already and keeping the 40mm hx30 to pair with it. Sold the 44mm already.

It's amazing how much contour the rain gutters are if your looking at a full size rack using far front and far back mounts.

Dude, that looks sweet. I bought some of those lights to use on a front bumper I am building in my mind.

Roof rack installed. And decided on a unique location for switches. Or maybe it's been done before and I'm just not a good web wheeler.

Still to come 32" light bar and 4 flood lights. On the rack that have mounting brakets already but wired to overhead switches. Bar on one. 4 flood on the second. And a 3 way switch for running lights on manual ignitions ofd or with other running lights.
