  • The fellow that made the posted the second video for zero point calibration, I was not clear about driving the vehicle after doing the paperclip/start button dance. Did he say/mean to drive the vehicle over or under 20 mph, AND for how long on a straight length of road?
  • Can you drive your rig outside your neighborhood, twisting through your community before you get to a straight section of road? Or do you need to drive straight for "X" number of seconds at 20 mph right after the paperclip/start button dance?
Especially the last 2 questions could really use some clairfication. Has anyone ever addressed this?
I don't remember exactly, but I did CC/MTS in my curved driveway and have to make a few turns before getting to 20mph. Everything turned out fine so you are good. Also, you have lockers... how does that work with CC/MTS? I would assume you don't need these modules

the 10-13s are prewired for the front camera, but they don't have the wiring for the wing mirror cameras. I've plugged in a front camera on my 2012 after installing MTS, but I still can't select or view the front camera. There was suggestion that the wing mirror camera needs to be installed to activate this, but I haven't gotten around to adding that camera. It needs a new mirror and a wiring harness for the door.
Where does this camera mount? Will any camera do? The OEM camera is $$$$!!

Long discussion on that here.

I've actually picked up a camera from a '10.. case has a small crack but doesn't affect operation. I am planning to pick back up on mod where I left off a few years ago in thread above. Debate still remains whether Parking Assist ECU needs to be replaced but doubtful. Research indicates that you need two cameras plugged in to auto-detect and they have to be 6V cameras. The stock button on steering wheel for cameras can just be a button trigger to ground anywhere. It is documented in thread.

I also picked up cameras for the mirrors but I would have to retrofit that. Terminals are documented if you wanted to add driver camera that wasn't available in US models until 2020.

I would be running custom wires for the side cameras but pretty easy to test....just need to find time. It has been done on Russian 460s a few years back.

Looking forward to see how you integrate that for 360° view (if possible).

Do you have to just check every wreck in the junkyard? Or were they on all Premiums?

Anyone know the difference between 84970-60070 and 84970-60080? The former says "with precrash system" and is ~$12 cheaper, while the later is "without precrash system". Would it be an issue to install the '70 part in a vehicle without precrash? I wasn't able to find any mention of the '80 part in this thread.

Further, anyone know if there would be any issue installing either of those in a vehicle without AVS/RAHC? I'm thinking of using the extra switches for adding other functionality (and possibly removing the lettering and stenciling in new markings for those 2 switches).

hatfieldcb: Yeah just have scour the yards or eBay

hakmo:

Don't worry about the pre-crash requirement. It will install on "all" 10-19 460s. Just need to buy one 070 or 090 depending on whether you have stock bags or have eliminated them.

The components in this mod only work for 10-19 models. '20+ has other challenges including additional wiring and/or re-pinning needed on skid control ECU. In addition it is not known if all crawl/MTS programming is embedded in all '20+ GX 460s. There was an attempt earlier in thread.

Hi everyone,

I have a 2012 Land Cruiser Prado (kdj 150 1KD-FTV) and it has the pre crash safety + radar cruise.
I have been searching from the Russian sites using google translate and I have come to conclusion that it´s not possible to retrofit CC or MTS to this trim.
It has something to do with different ABS unit.
But from this forum it says that in Lexus 460 it doesn't matter what trim the car has the CC+MTS mod is possible to retrofit. Is there after all some deviation between Lexus 460 and 150 Prado?

It was a number of years ago so my memory of the Prado specific stuff is a little foggy.

You may have seen links posted here as it sounds like you went down the same investigative path

I’ve seen a number of wiring differences between Eurasian 460s that makes me believe Prado probably has just as many.

The Toyota 4Runner has been converted by a few but it is a substantial conversion and replacement of ABS unit may not be needed there.

Do you have the surround cameras? Do you have an existing revision of the Driver Support Switch under the passenger dash? For 12 it should be a 010 but needs to be a 020 for MTS

parts listing is on first post

I thought I remember one challenge was that on Prado radar models the MTS ECU wasn’t there nor any vacant wiring harness.

Yes I have the surround camera(front, right and reverse camera).
I checked the driver support ecu behind the glove box and if I remeber correctly it was 010.

MTS is just an ECU swap so the test would be to just put in the 020 and see if it works.

Yeah, I think that I will just order the parts since if I recall correctly the problem was also that someone with Pre-Crash safety didn't find the connector for the crawl control.
I took the panel out yesterday and it seems I have the wiring ready.
