I should know this and I swear I've had this sorted in the past but I'm not at the shop near reference materials and can't for the life of me figure out what the era/model breakdown was between 45's and Stout's that used the amber/red and red/red rear lights. I know my 66 LPB uses red/red and I think my Stout was red/red too, it was a 65.

Kurt, my late 64 FJ45 Parts book shows two lenses notice 81551-36010 was for all 45's and 81551-60060 was an option for the USA.

However, the 1965 parts book shows 81551-60060 is the rear lens in (Amber)as an old part.

81550-60070 is the rear lens in (red). " for USA new"

Did I make this more cloudy....

Kurt, both my 65's had red/red.

I'm the same as Whitey, I've only seen red/red originally installed.
I thought the red/amber was overseas, ie: Australia.
similar to the 55 lenses they had that were red/amber and the US version was red/red thru 77.

Let me offer a counter argument to Paul, Brian, and Mark :D both my '65 FJ45s had amber/red lenses. I know for sure the one's on my spring green where original. The one's on my gray look like replacements but if they were replaced it was in the 80s/90s.

Also here are my US 1965 brochures all showing amber/red

Offering more confusion. Both 64 & 65 parts book show the lenses with the indented reflector I thought was only on the stout??

Looking at the 65 book closer it shows part 81560- 60020 "Amber" for the USA as an OLD part number. ( Black Star) Old part number...

and 81560- 60030 "Red Lens" For the USA as NEW for the USA.

I think we are dealing with a left over part situation like we are all familiar with. They could have had either.....

Just my thoughts.

the ones on your spring green rig look faded. I've got lenses like that also but when removed the amber color is still visible around the rubber gasket. these are from a Stout

Lots of confusion and circular supercession. Would everyone agree it could be correct either way? :D
