You would think Wayne Rhodes would at least paint the hood hooks the right color... That's a solid rig. One he's had for years and not one he's just flipping I don't think.

just thought it was interesting as we don't get many local like that. If it sells for that 2buckets needs to get his out there. (disclaimer I've been gone 10 months so it could be sold by now and I'd have no clue).

Upside down grinding sucks!

Shell is straight, has a couple of bends along bottom side, odd placement and no bowing of main shell so not sure what caused them. Hammer would probably flatten them back out. Let me know if you want it and we will work out MUDship.

Thanks Cole, but we are planning to make the Parti-krawl this year. Want to bring the 80 if I can get the tow rig sorted between now and then, otherwise we will just be chillin in the GX.

Not on my never been painted (when I bought it) and completely stock 78 FJ40.

The rig I was commenting on is a 76 and those should have been the silver color.

Factory literature shows painted hooks all the way to 1977. Pewter hooks took over after 78.

The reason you had Pewter ones on earlier trucks is that the paint wire fastest on these and were “upgraded” even if the truck was not painted.

I can repay with one of the 4 I have sitting in my parts trucks but I would like to get my 40 rolling again
