I even see the magic dial .It has locked axles.
I don’t recall if you had those already, but it would be super easy to swap in the complete axles.

It's good to hear from you again. I'm glad you're ok. I was going to suggest that you pull some strings with your son the Marine and his guys to get the 80 for you but, looks like you handled it. 👍 👍
The local gang chief ended up getting a whole 30 bucks out of the 100 to let it pass thru his territory to the next. I gave him his 30 bucks and the truck made it safely to the shop. I saved way more than 30 bucks not having to buy my missing parts. I have an extra engine for my 40 which sports a 1hz too.
I'd have given him 10 times that if he asked but $30.00 worked better for me🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

A set of locked axle is going for $ 2500.00 + US, state side. DBL score. Even more with complete wiring harnesses.

And yes you should

FWIW locked diffs won’t fit in none locked housing without significant modifications.
Locked diffs have special axles shafts that will work in none locked diffs & housing. but none locked axle shafts well not work with locked diffs.
Hope this helps.

Oh ,yes it does !😜
You can be certain that both units are going under that 45 . Thanks for the info !

Amazingly enough, we found no fluids in the engine. I poured oil in it, slapped a pair of batteries into place , poured some diesel in the tank.... turned the key 🔑..... Started right up. AMAZING !!!!
We put it in drive and took for a spin around the yard. I almost feel bad about parting it out but I will feel worse buying all those parts. I will eventually install the 1HDT on my fj 40.
Things are good. Hope they remain that way😁

Awesome, so glad to hear things working out! Great score and sounds like you’re gonna make great use of the rig!

I had decided to have two tanks on this truck. I already had a plastic unit froma land rover and the other was from a 93 corvette.
The corvette's tank was gonna go under the cab and while I can't complain about space availability , I wasn't sure i liked it either. So , I decided to to only have one, but one that would easily hold as much as two...... a monster of a tank that will not stick down from under the truck and will not rust.
Full stainless steel construction..... baffled to prevent the fuel from flushing around and stong . Meet my new fuel tank🤩

Ok. Tank is almost completed. I made holes for the drain plug and for the sending unit and vent. I installed a 3/8 threaded outlet port . Hope it' enough to feed the 6 liter It came out a bit heavier than expected . I like it. This thing will probably not rust any day soon.
We'll pressure test it for leaks and make some stronger support straps.

45 gallons.
I grossly miscalculated this tanks capacity..... today we filled it up to the top with water then emptied it out 5 gallon bucket 🪣 at a time. It took a total of 12 buckets + 2 gallons to empty it out. 62 gallons is the exact number.
Holly cow ! That's a whole lot of fuel 😮
Well i 'd hate to be waiting to fill up behind this monster at a fuel station ⛽️.
After measuring the tanks capacity, we mocked it up into the chassis. perfect Fit 👌
Hangs down maybe 2 inches lower than expected , but I still have a bit of room to push it up under the bed some more. Here are some pics.
