That sucks Art...especially since it's for a wedding...no dude likes going to weddings!;)

All,

The link below is a contact list (phone numbers), a basic route (main cities you will be traveling through), and your radio information (CB/HAM) as well as what you can provide assistance wise to fellow members. Please fill out the information and save it. I have included my information. This will be a good way to touch base with other members that are driving 1,000+ miles out west. If an issue arises, we have each others information. Remember to save this list as a .PDF on your phone or print the night before you leave. Data may not be available in all areas. If you do not wish you put your cell number, please put your email.

You do not have to be coming from the Southeast by the way.

I honestly think it better for you guys to pm that list around rather than have it on here. Or make it password accessible and PM the password.

I was kind if thinking the same thing. I filled it out anyway. I'm a rebel, and the government already knows everything anyway...

And Nick, if you're coming through Denver, we've got a decent group traveling out together. You mentioned you were gonna go Denver--> CO Springs, but unless you're doing that for a reason, 285 is a better route.

EDIT: https://forum.ih8mud.com/trails-events-expeditions/747574-denver-area-100s-hills-thread.html

I am going to CO Springs to see a good friend. The last time I was at Pikes Peak, it was -32*F outside with the windchill (at the peak, on their temp. gauge). I did not have a good time, wearing a hoodie, and jeans. I plan on going back this trip, and actually be able to enjoy the view. It's breathtaking. The rental car's oil would not get above 100*F. It was insane.

Hey Stan, should be obvious but put me down for trail leader/gunner/whatever on whatever day. I'm happy to roll mellow style with the families, or get up on 3 wheels on pookipsie.. either way I'll be happy, I'm just looking forward to getting out there again.

And planets must have aligned or something, but I've got two new flat racks hanging in my garage. I'm tempted to strap one on, anyone need a Gamiviti rack?

I've been trying to find the right deal on a rack.

Plan on it! We'll talk this week.

Also, for anyone who is new to HAM radio or wants to get into HAM, Nakman is the go to guy for information/advice/help. I call on him often to show me the way. He'll be in the built white 100 with all the gizmos, doohickeys and thingamabobs.

If anyone needs help with their ham radios or CB radios I know a thing or two about radios. If I have time, I'll setup my portable 30ft antenna mast for a 20/40 meter dipole and talk around the world on HF...

We are leaving tomorrow!!! My house looks like an REI store after an earthquake.

LOL, my metal building looks the same way. Looks like a demo area with the tent set up and bags etc.

^ How about plastidip, or spray on bed liner?

I'm dipping my wheels for this trip. Will it fill in the scratches and dings? They're pretty beat up, and I want to remove it as soon as I'm back.

I don't know plastidip. I rattle can and forget.

Yup! I did find out that brake cleaner will take the rattle can right off! And my brake is still squeaking!

Installed Slee group 31 tray and Diehard battery today! If getting things done on my truck is the reason for this trip...it's good enough! I can't believe I almost paid $300 for a battery!:bang:

$300?!

I just dropped $192 for my Diehard Platinum 34M at Sears for my Aux Battery. The real kick in the cohones is when I didnt save my reciept, and the next week, they had a $50 rebate. Woulda been handy for a 1/2 tank on the 5000 mile trek there and back.
