3m 1357 sticks anything to anything as long as you dont want to remove it. At least for soft flexible anything.

I'm done with Amazon, I suggest everyone else be done with them too, cause they sure don't care about us!Amazon. I bought the accelerator too but I don’t think I can use it since it’s a liquid and don’t know if I would even need it. Please note, I have not tried this on the door yet. This was my test.
Check out this video that 40channel posted a while back. (the link is queued right to the part where he talks about the glue)
He uses basically the same stuff on his resto and it appears to be a great option. The best part for me is theres way less mess to deal with.
II think 3m use to recommend cleaning the release agent off epdm rubber with isopropyl alcohol.
I hope it’s a little more than that. Has a wide temperature rating and impact resistant. Again, I don’t have a lot of experience with it but so far the weather strip I have fixed with isn’t going anywhere.Isn’t the stuff your using just crazy glue?
I did that. The 3M is working well in most areas but releasing in some. So I just can’t use it again and the IC-2000 seems to be working great on the spots I have fixed.I think 3m use to recommend cleaning the release agent off epdm rubber with isopropyl alcohol.
Sorta.. They are all based on Cyanoacrylates.Isn’t the stuff your using just crazy glue?
That would def make sense thank you for the clarificationSorta.. They are all based on Cyanoacrylates.
But they are not all the same...
They have additives to make them thicker, stronger, higher sheer strength, heat resistant etc etc...
Loctite for example is a type of cyanoacrylate.
Where was the glue sourcedYeah that stuff is good, a rubberized super glue basically.
Careful with the spray accelerator it can leave a white residue on the rubber. Think the fumes from it drying or something
I re-did all my doors with the IC-2000 and so far so good. That WS isn't going anywhere!Any updates on how the rubberized IC-2000 is performing? I was going to give it a try on my ambulance door seals / weatherstrip new from City Racer. EPDM rubber. Ideally it’s cleaner application than the 3M WS adhesive and need to know it holds up to the elements. Any thoughts?
A little goes a long way and less is more, so that should be plenty to do both doors. I worked in 6-8" sections. No, I didn't use the accelerator. It sets up fast enough. I did have some clips that I used at the corners. Good luck.Good to hear. Have a 1 oz on order. Will that be enough for both amby doors or do I need a couple? What about the accelerator… is it necessary? Sounded like the accelerator caused a white film to form from another user. Thanks much for the recommendation!
