My rear upper link bushings are trashed

So i printed a set... out of tpu.

Time will tell how long they last. My caster bushings were done in a few years. 308995 in the odo

Interestinf idea. I was just thinking about how many older vehicles get stuck with poly body to frame bushings when it comes to replacement. I wonder if tpu printed ones would be viable.

@Outsane yeah we should probably talk here when i get to it....it would be for my pickup.

Definitely the case for the 89-95 pickups, seems like energy suspension is the only company that makes them too. Good thinking Lee!

Yeah i order a set from them for my 79 pickup and they look like they will transfers lot of vibration. I was able to get two locations still from Toyota but all the other ones are nla. Haven't had time to see if there are other vehicles with similar bushings that would work.

What is TPU (?Urethane, Durometer rating)?

@Kernal Thermoplastic Polyurethane

Shore hardness of 95a for the stuff I bought

I am not saying this is a great solution...

I am just trying it out.. I printed my sway bar end bushings since whiteline couldn't tell me which ones to order for replacement. The sway bar bushings escaped after they broke free from the end bracket. So they said to order a set they picked out and see if they fit.

They don't fit.

But my printed ones do.

The end bushing have lasted awhile with a heavy duty sway bar.

So now I am trying this..

I have also broken a few energy suspension bushings in my day.

So we will see how this goes,
