I suspect I will end up in the R/T. I love the idea of a MT, but the probably not the sound of it. Nearest trail to my house is around 90 min drive.
I had worn duratracs for a bit and they were fine, I suspect with tread similarity the Kenda will be similar NVH.

@Dwight Marshall i can’t directly answer the noise level compared to k02s. I have C rated 35” K02s on a lifted 1973 suburban but that truck is just an overall louder rougher ride. Tire noise is the last thing you’d notice behind the wheel lol. On the LC the Kendas have a slight hum at speeds above 30mph. Nothing obnoxious but noticeable if you are looking for road noise.
I'm wondering if the skinny Kenda will clear the driver's side KDSS, but looking at my own last attempt with 285/75/18s in the post below, I doubt they would clear. I'm tempted to order one and give it a try anyways...

I asked @drftsub this before and he said he had no need for a KDSS relocation, but he is on 0 offset wheels. The 10.5 width means you get 12.5mm extra of clearance on either side versus a usual 285 width, and around 25mm of clearance on either side versus a 35x12.5" - this should greatly help clearing fenders, control arms, and KDSS.I'm wondering if the skinny Kenda will clear the driver's side KDSS, but looking at my own last attempt with 285/75/18s in the post below, I doubt they would clear. The consensus on the road noise seems to be that it's louder than quiet A/T's like Wildpeak AT3W's, but quieter than more aggressive A/T's like KO2's and M/T's, and they can get louder as more miles get put on it (after the 20k mark). Good off road, in slippery conditions, etc. They are however a bit heavy, at 67-68 lbs per tire - closer to the weight of a 35x12.5 than a 34". They are currently in the top 3 of my next tire options.

On +0 I JUST touch at full lock , it’s lightly polished the arm, but you don’t notice it from the drivers seat. Glad to hear that! I've been wanted to upgrade to the GY MTR in 275/80/17 and I'm at a +18offset. I was going to try to make it work, but seems like won't be too much fighting

For what its worth, weight-wise... my 35x12.5x17 Ridge Grapplers were a whopping 75.4# each...so quite a bit heavier.
10-ply sidewalls, and incredibly tough, but heavy.

Alternatively, the new Toyo Open Country AT3 comes in 35x11.50R17. Obviously not as skinny as the Kendas, but they should offer better on road performance coupled with the Toyo name/warranty at the expense of a greater chance of rubbing. They're also 5 lbs lighter than the Kendas even with the larger width. This is closer to the common 285 width but with a 35" height, similar to the 285/75R18 size. The Nitto Trail Grappler M/T also comes in this size. AFAIK, these 3 are the only skinny 35's for 17's.
I already went down the 285/70/18 > 285/75/18 > 285/70/18 path in this thread below and also tried 35x12.50x17 in the past. I don't want to mess with anything wider than 11" if it's bigger than a 34, so that's why I think this Kenda might be the only tire on the market that could work.

I have them on my 80. Awesome. Did all the trails in Ouray. Rock solid. Quiet on the asphalt. Looks aggressive. Wear is low. Loving the bang for the buck as well.
