I got a 2016 LC 5.7 w/ 70k miles with the transfer case leaking from both the rear axle seal and the actuator o-ring.
Looking at the parts diagrams and service manual, it does not seem you can officially remove the actuator and the shift forks are attached to it.
However, if I split the actuator, taking both covers off with the motors, can I pull the case off with the forks still going into the case?
If the above is possible, I imagine the shift forks have seals to prevent oil from going into the motor, any ideas on where I find those? The parts diagram shows the actuator as one unit, the repair manual treats it as such as well.
I seriously do not want to tear down the case for just an o-ring.
Got some pictures of both leaks below:
the axle appears to be leaking much less than the o-ring for the t-case actuator.
I replaced the fluid for the first time yesterday and it was dripping out of the fill hole when I opened the plug, so the leak is insignificant for now.
Thanks
