The pic where the tool bag goes. The two brackets that are holding down the band are 180 off. I made the same mistake and ripped the band.

Did you paint speedo face and glove box door?

I think I get it, still would like a pic ;p

I did not paint the speedo face or glove box door. They look pretty much perfect after cleaning them up. Still need to send you some old ones.......

Sorry, don't get it?? 180 degree's, not sure how it would bolt up then? 2 bolts on 1 side, the other centered away from in it in a triangle.

Seems right to me? Need photo.

Matt

Each part is in its correct place. Loosen 10mm bolt and twist the part (all three) 180 degrees. This will allow correct tension and hook of the black band over the tool kit.

Your resto's are truly restorations.....and they take time. I've seen your stuff, now that is amazing.

Edit: And thanks for the pics, that put it into perspective!

Thanks, my mother is convinced that FJ40's are more expensive than any shrink, But I get better rusults with the FJ's

I just noticed I forgot to install the knob on the seat adjustment before I shipped it....................CRAP!

If for any reason you are not happy with the seat coverings I am a few weeks away from reproduction vinyl that is a dead on match.

If you want the door limiters rebuilt and plated let me know along with the strikers and any other small parts in the cab.

wow, nice idea. Do you hook the water supply to water, chemicals, or a mix of the two? You can pick up old dishwashers from habitat for humanity for almost nothing.

Got about 3 hours on the lpb tonight, although doesn't really look like it.

Started on the fuel lines underneath the cab. I didn't get any pics, but the ones that follow the frame rails from the front to the rear. Figure I'm going to need those to start it. Worked a little on the fuel tank, glued some rubber underneath for padding. The tank orginally had some sort of felt on each corner underneath. That is where the tank rusted, pretty sure it was a moisture collector. The rubber I had was fairly plyable, left over from rear handle tailgate gaskets on the lv. Doesn't look to pretty, used weldwood contact cement and made up the pieces and glued them down. They aren't going anywhere and the tank fit really nice when I placed it in there.

Once the tank was in, strapped it down. Hooked up fuel lines and vent lines on the rear of the tank. Also installed the filler neck so I can get some gas in there. Bolted the seat down, needed to do that becase it is exciting to see how good those look in there and how nice they cleaned up.

Few other misc. things, hooked up the choke and throttle linkage...some other stuff, but I forget.

Last 2 pics are for Cruiserdan, I will be sending you a PM after this. Wondering if you can still get the 2 parts. The transfer case has a rubber boot below the rubber one, pic of my crappy one. Also, pic is crappy, but it is a breather rubber tube that goes from the air cleaner to the valve cover, 90 degrees. About 6" ish long?

Another stupid question on the fuel tank.....I think on the 3rd pic. What line is the pick up line and which one is the return?? The lower line seems like it would be the pick up and the one in the middle would be the return?

Hoping to get 8 qts of oil tomorrow and a new filter. Few ft of fuel line and 5 gal. of fresh gas. Might actually start and move again here pretty soon?

I'll keep the seat covers in mind, but I think these orginial ones have a little bit of life left in them.

I might have a few parts that need to be plated yet, but most are still in excellent condition. Just wouldn't make sense on most of them to blast and re-plate when they already look so nice.

Thanks, Matt

I gotta admit.....the wife is pretty durable and understanding, I am very lucky :) They weren't real dirty and we layed down a some plastic, so not to messy.

Not sure about class 103? :D :D

Collant and windshield wiper bottle are going in on the next load ;p

the one on the side is the vent/return line? The one underneath is the fuel pickup.

Mike,

I kinda figured that, but wanted to ask. So, the one on the bottom is on it's way to the fuel pump........I can hear it running already...even have a muffler to hang on what's left over of that pipe underneath. ;p

Thanks, Matt
