I found myself in a fj45 , rhd . 1982 but it has an HZ in it
I had shared some details in my earlier posts. This post is more specific to the AC unit it has.
It appears to be a factory unit with a factory controller.
I don't have a belt for the compressor but suspect the pump to be bad as it won't turn with any decent ugga on it .
I want to try to get a new compressor and get some lines made or purchased.
It has stamped MD21 on it but that doesn't seem to pull up anything resembling my compressor layout

The search function has produced an amazing amount of information but I dont see anything that gives me an aha moment of solid confidence that I am looking at the right stuff.
Should I even try to fix this compressor and run the unit or look at some other kind?

Thanks in advance
Dave

What is that under the air cleaner that’s cutting into the high pressure side hose crimp? Where is the compressor low side line?

Thanks for looking , low side is missing and I suspect I will need to replace a lot of them .

I will take a pic tomorrow from more angles.
I dont know immediately what it is .

Is there a go to place to order the factory style and length of the lines?

I’d have very low expectations for that compressor, it appears to have been open to the atmosphere for some time. The clutch unit doesn’t have an “air gap” as it should when not activated/turned on.

Thank you. it is infact locked up
I found a local shop to make the lines , he doesn't have the adaptor or manifold needed for the compressor ends.

Is there an appropriate compressor. one on the truck has MD21 in the case . that brought up compressors but not any in a fj45. Lol.
So question for the hive.

Which compressor
What adaptor do I need ?

It looks like a Nippon Denso. I bought mine from Rock Auto to fit my 12HT. Find out what LC came with the HZ motor and go from there.

Just a follow up the short version is still not short enough to work
This is a rhd 1hz fj45
I found a 471-1141 referenced somewhere on here and I was able to get one shipped
I also read that using a 3fe fj62 for vehicle will give correct drop in replacement.

Hope this helps
