It can't be completely assembled, the fenders are in boxes on my dock.

I gotta get them launched ASAP.

mmmmmmm................O.....E....M......fenders.........

You need to send those.....I might need them next week ;)

Not quite driving it.....yet :D Hopefully the updates will start up again tomorrow. I was in Philedelphia, PA all last week and got home Monday morning around 1:00 a.m. I have to work next weekend again, but hoping to get out of work tomorrow early and get a little time in. It's not going to be anything special, probably just welding in some misc. brackets on the frame and straigtening some brackets....also a dozen or so busted off bolts have to be drilled out and re-tapped.

Hopefully if that gets done I can start sandblasting or have someone else start blasting this week. Then it's paint, paint, paint....and assemble, assemble, assemble........

Thanks, Matt

;) Got about 5 hours on the lpb this afternoon. Not anything major, but pretty much wrapped up what I needed to do on the frame.

Blasted and primed the bracket that gets welded to the drivers side frame horn. Had to bolt up the center arm to make sure everything lined up. Once I had it where I wanted it, removed the center arm and welded it in.

Made the bracket for the passenger side. Not a big deal, but wanted it like factory. Pics pretty much say it all.

Cut out he key hole in the rear for the spare tire carrier crank. Used a 7/8" hole saw in the center and then the die grinder into the edges. Once I was close I used a hand file to get the corners square.

Torched the spring pins off the rear springs......just a bit of rust in between the springs. Drilled out several busted off bolts and re-tapped....few other misc. things to trivial to mention.

Around 7 pm as i was runnning out of stuff to do, a friend of mine called me. He was heading over to a guys place who does sand blasting in the evening, asked me if I had anything ready for blasting........Within 20 minutes the frame, rims and leaf springs were all loaded on the trailer. Got over to his place around 8, hauled everything in and figures he might have it all done later tomorrow night.....that would be great if he did! I guess I'll have to wait and see, but who knows, might be shooting some paint on a frame in a few days ;)

I just went out and looked at my SWB today and then looked at this thread, the old tortus and hare theory somehow does not apply when Matt is involved.

I don't think this project is going to get me through the cold winter as the LV did he will get it done way to early.

Good Going Matt.

Well...it ain't done yet ;) But it is going pretty good. I keep asking myself if I am sacrificing any quality for speed? I don't think I am at all, I just could do it any better, or worse for that matter?? I just keep working on it and eventually it will be done I guess.......and I don't want to get done to soon, having way to much fun :D

Dropped the frame and a lot of other parts off at that sandblast place last night. The plan was to run over there tonight and give him a hand rotating it and get it done and loaded up....I was hoping to have it back in my booth tonight. But....he called me up this afternoon and was sick with the flu or something. Going to try again tomorrow night, hopefully that works out.

Gotta work all weekend, but hoping to get that frame back in the booth and maybe shoot some primer and paint in the evenings this week..........still hoping.

Got about 3 hours in on the lpb tonight.......wish I could post some pics :frown: But, I'm currently waiting to get my silver star back. Payed via paypal 2 days prior to it expiring, but I it was with some e-check bullsh-t???? Not even sure how I did that, but takes 3 to 4 days to clear....so I can tell you what I did, but it will be a couple days before the pics show up....sorry??

Picked up the frame, rims, leaf springs and other misc. parts Friday night from the sandblaster. I had to work late Friday night, so by the time I got home it was really late and couldn't do anything anyway. Had to work all day today, but got home and got started on the frame.

Neighbor came over and helped me hang up the frame in the booth. Took some time and blew everything out and tacked clothed it down. Mixed up a half gallon of DP90LF and sprayed a couple coats. Worked inside the frame first and hosed it on hard, had the stuff running all over the inside of the frame....should last a while now. After I got the inside of the frame sauced up with DP I sprayed the outside. 2 nice coats...I think it turned out great (wish I had pics to show you).

Going to let it dry over night, but plan on spraying a couple coats of single stage ureathane tomorrow night. So, it should be high gloss black tomorrow and ready to take down Monday night.

PS. if anyone with a silver star wants me to email them 3 pics this evening, please let me know and you can post them up on this thread. At least you can see what I did? And I'll post more tomorrow or the next day when I get my start back. Have to post your email address on this thread...my PM box is full also

Thanks, Matt

Half the time I show some one my own work I have be very carefull not to show them everything I did not do up to my expecations and forget to show the work I am happy with.

We will be waiting for the Lost in Etrade Silver star for more pics to enhance my future tripping on my own projects.
