Need to think about what you're storing in there.
Trying not to have any bolts through to the exterior, to limit water penetration, so was going to tack weld it on for the first couple trips and can cut and move it if needed.Just an idea... could you make it adjustable with some type of bolting to system so you have flexibility for the future? Like small shelves up the whole side that are pre drilled and you could bolt in the shelf at the desired location??
I am a long time boy scout, so can talk to that point... you buy junk stuff and replace it or cast iron and forget about it. I have seen several of these side boxes that have carpet inside of them for noise/abuse. Will likely go that route too.I think that I'd have a look at Boy Scout Camp Kitchens online, specifically how they might secure the cookware from rattling. Partly from the noise perspective, but more from the not beating it up from going down a rough road perspective. I've had to prematurely retire/recycle camp cookware because of it getting beat-up in transport.
We now use this in our camper: MAGMA Ten-Piece Stainless-Steel Nesting Cookware Set | West Marine which helps a lot, but my solo camping cookware is much less developed.
