Took a break from work for a couple hours and started to get the side box together.

I also put the first part of the plug Kitchen in Place. Unfortunately bent the second piece incorrectly, so I need to decide if I cut it and weld it back together or get a new piece of metal

In the 5 years of owning a spool gun, I used the 1lb spool it came with. After the last month and a half, I have run through 7 spools! Just amazes me how much I have welded on this thing!

The details are the only thing that has suprised me for the time it has taken to do. The pull out drawers are 10 times more time consuming than I expected..... however, how fulfilling it is when a 48" x 42" drawer smoothly slides out!

Still working on the hinge for this one, finally pulled the pin and flipped one side over so they work properly. I need to pick @kc_chevota Brain again on lift struts.

@SammyT96LX450 surprised me by stopping by the shop and helping me with a few things. Got some more ideas on the pullout kitchen, and we got the top slide out installed.

Making slow progress to the pull out kitchen. The lower section in the first picture is where the grill fits in and slides out.

I've seen RTT's made to raise done a lot, but I wonder why not leave the RTT fixed at the top of the trailer's enclosure?

You know better for sure, but from here (a 1000 miles away, admittedly) that RTT support system looks a bit on the light side. At least for somebody who doesn't plan on being perfectly static up there. Or is it not meant to be occupied in the raised position?

several reasons.

1. If you don't raise it, those of us that are on the taller side cannot walk under it.
2. My RTT came with an alcove that zips under it holding 2 more people, that is made to be 76-78" above ground.
3. finally, I could have made it fixed in the higher position; however, then it is higher than my rig and you have to watch for branches and the higher center of gravity. It should be roughly the same height as an 80 now.

Those aluminum legs are 1/2 x 1" solid stock and I am bracing all four corners, so I have no concerns about how strong it will be.

Actually, here are updated photos. On the outsides, I’m going to have X bracing that will pop in with Clips after it’s up.

I wouldn't have fixed it high no matter what. Alcove/enclosure makes sense.

Brakes installed. Handle from Camaro junkyard find thanks to @kc_chevota

anybody like treasure hunts..... trying to figure out who makes these hinges on the bottom of the door.

I'll let you look but they remind me of cheap portable fridge hinges.

wanted to figure out a way to store the propane tank in the front box, yet easily build able to pull it out to use. I remembered that I had some old Scott air tanks laying around and they have a quick latched cam system. Had to add a little bit of length to it, but turned out great....
