Did you buy it locally? Looks like one I ran into last summer at home depot in overland park that belonged to an original TAC member from back in the day.
Yep. Bought it locally. Original owner. Knew all about TAC. Said he at least use to be a member.

Cummins or LS swap???? I'm just saying seems logical to me.

Man I'm tempted. The body is in pretty good shape. Haven't found a lot of rust. It would be a good one for a swap.

Do you know whats wrong with the motor ?
Not sure what's going on with it but it does not sound good. Horrible knocking when you start it. More of a banging.

The previous owner was pulling the hill on I-70 going up to the Eisenhower tunnel. He said it suddenly lost oil pressure and power. Pulled over and said it was dumping oil out the front of the motor. From there he had it towed home and decided it was time to sell it.

Noise sounded high in the engine. Still with 414k, would not put time in that engine.

1 vote for LS power.

Lookup sloppymechanic on youtube. 250k 6.0 chevy out of a work van pushing 1000 hp to the wheels on a single turbo. Stock lower end and some basic mods. He cuts corners just to see what happens to prove how robust that series is and dirt cheap.

Mike, I want to go here.... somewhere near silverton... from 100's in the hills...

Looks like the Ouray side just over Imogene pass.

Yep. It's Imogene. I'm standing on the rock he is parked on when I took this picture.

I'm in.

Need moar details!

This is from a book that my dad put together. If you look to the southwest of Ouray, you will see Yankee Boy Basin. Along that road is the start of Imogene Pass which takes you into Telluride.

A good trip is to take Black Bear Pass into Telluride and then back over Imogene Pass into Ouray. It is a long trip and there is not a lot of camping along the way (lots of private property). One can camp in Ouray and/or Telluride at state campgrounds.

Yankee Boy Basin is a must stop. The map doesn't show it but Sidney Basin is a good one too (right close to Yankee Boy). A lot of big rocks and one tight shelf road on Sidney Basin.

Here are pics of what your talking about. I think I know the rock you speak of at Imogene, just could not find a picture of it in my computer. Found these of the area you are talking about.

I believe this is at Sidney Basin

Well, going very slow but got the front winch mounted. @Flatlanderfj40 is way ahead of me on this. Still need to wire it up.

I thought this was at imogene, but it is california gulch. Finally uploaded this to youtube. Enjoy and try to calculate how tall and long the bounce over the road is.
