I really like the Land Cruiser; for first time I think it may over sell the LX!!! Question really has to be is if those materials in the Land Cruiser are as good as in the pictures. The 2013 thru 2015 looked great in pics but the plastic was not very good.

LC looks great.

Anyone know if they will bring the dark brown to the states or is the tan the model coming over? The video from the Japanese Toyota site shows a new LC with an almond leather interior, then black everywhere else, ie footwells, ceiling, floor mats.

I love everything but the headlights and grille. Looks like a Lincoln Navigator; I am not sure how well this generation will age (it already looks outdated). The interior is beautiful!

No more Amazon Green Metallic; I guess that means mine just went up in value a tick. :)

I'm liking the look of the LC, not so much the grill, but that's what aftermarket parts are for. I see tremendous potential there.
now, where did I put that winning lotto ticket.....

RE: The "way out on the front fender" mirrors on some (?) Japanese vehicles...do they work?

LC looks good ..... now when are they bringing the 300 out which is what this thread was originally intended to discuss !!!!!!

kidding aside, so is it our assumption that this is how the 300 will look - but the chassis and engine will be modified ?

or are we to expect a whole new vehicle in a few years ?

RE: The "way out on the front fender" mirrors on some (?) Japanese vehicles...do they work?

Yes! Those mirrors work very well. They are not rear view mirrors. They afford a view to the right of the driver's side (RHD in the case of the posted pic) front fender - best when poking one's nose out of a narrow alley where it is not possible to see what is coming from the right hand side when there are solid walls close by on both sides. The right hand view is critical because that is where the closest traffic will be coming from - left hand traffic in Japan, not right hand traffic as in the U.S. I had them on all my vehicles when I lived in Japan.

Any Ideas what the new sticker price will be?

I bet the LX will reach $100k

The LC version is growing on me. Not so much on the LX.

300 LC is coming in 2 years or so. LX will soldier on for 3/4 more years. They easily could have done more to the LC but you know they are saving the special stuff for the full redesign.

now that being said, I think the LC has potential... The 200 series has been heading in a direction of getting better on the inside and worse on the outside! the 2008's look the best on the outside, that's not to say the 2013's don't look awesome, just not as good as the early gen. This seems to be moving in the same direction, better on the inside but not as cool on the outside... throw the 2016 interior in a 2008 body and you have the best 200 series!!!

That pretty much sums up how I am feeling about it too.
I think the 16 LC has some decent design flow to it, from front to back or side to side much like the 08-11.
The 13-15 always to me seemed to have lost some of that. 13-15 LCs the taillights no longer seemed quite right and the nose was off some, the new 16 fixes that almost back to what the 08-11 looked like from the nose and tail regaining its lost cemetery. I really like the new LC nose, it is modern without looking like the face of some sort of alien the LX was given. I suspect it has some improved lighting functions from those new lights as well.

Any dates for Toyota to release info on the US model. Toyota's 2016 Taco had a tone of stuff released on it today. Sound like it got the LCs crawl control system and a ton of improvements.

LC ok. LX still sucks.

I
Thought that in other markets the LC already had AHC as an option. Therefor I would not expect it to be on the NAS vehicles unless specifically stated in a press release.

I was thinking the same thing.
If not mistaken, Japan does not have a Lexus LX version, so their LC gets a number of the Lexus features offered on the Japan LC version.

Any Ideas what the new sticker price will be?
I would expect about a 2-3% increase, which is pretty much the norm or average in the car industry. That would be about $2000-2500US more then a 2015 stickers for. I will be very surprised if they raise it more then that.
