It took 5 hours, but got those coils out without a spring compressor.

I removed the shocks, compressed the opposite side with a jackstand underneath and used a jack to push the axle down.

Once I had the right jack on the axle I had it all done in 45 minutes.

Truck drives much better and it's sitting nicely with just a bit of rake.

Rear suspension cycles better, as well.

Truck deals with wind a lot better and has had a noticeable jump in mileage.

Looking at getting Marlin Crawler 60" Universal weld on sliders.

Also, the center of the top of my wheel well is at 36 1/2 in front and 37 in back. Drivers side is slightly lower by maybe an 1/8".

Currently running 275/70R18 on OEM alloys

Absolutely love the 285-75r17s. They rub. But its drivable, and outstanding on the trail. Would be possible with anything but oem wheels with +25.

I have a bid for an Ironman Bumper and getting one for an ARB. I would prefer the ARB. Just needs to not be twice the price.

Is the move compared to the 70”? Also, can you install these with kdss? If so, a nice affordable option.
I think i have shifted to 4x-inmovatiojs 4runner weld on bars. The legs are not welded so they can set them where they need to. 4x has DOM with square main tubes available as an upgrade with some nice top plates

As far as length, 70 would probably be too long. I was going with between 60 and 66 to allow plenty of room for big tires.

We have a 109" wheel base and with 34" tires that leaves 75" then throw in few inches kf clearance plus the scrub radius/king pin radius you get 66 and if you want more clearance, 60.

Do it, Adam at 4x Innovations does great work. He built the sliders for my Baja T|X Taco with zero offset and expanded steel filler plates without batting an eye.

That was 13 years ago he was in Iowa then but has since moved back across the River to Wi.

Good to know. I am crossing that threshold of needing legit s*** as I start doing more advanced trails with more jeopardy.
