I want to document buying a 150k LX570 sight unseen.

Prior to my ownership: radiator, accessor belt / tensioner and rear main seal were done along with routine maintenance.

Since my ownership I have added 16k miles and I did the following:
1. Replace AHC globes and fluid - $2k- best thing I’ve done and it needed it badly.

2. Temp guage climes at idle this week- had my mechanic look at it and all it needed was some coolant

So far a pretty great 16 months with the LX. Hoping for 12 months of only gas and oil.
Have someone with a scope check for coolant leak in the valley. That is a common area for coolant to be lost at around your mileage.

You can lose small amounts of coolant over time due to evaporation, but typically wouldn't be enough loss to cause overheating like that, unless it's been a very very long time (unlikely).

How much coolant did the mechanic have to add?

Was the system inspected / pressure tested for leaks?

Has there been recent maintenance on the coolant system? If so, maybe the system wasn't bled / burped properly.

We just got about 7” of snow and my first time driving the LX in snow- wow this thing is such a beast with 35” Toyo AT3! Much improved over my 100 series with Nitto Exo Grapplers. Even driving with traction off and no CDL this thing is just so good in the snow.
