hi, ive been looking at this forum for a while now and had decided on importing an lx570 from the uae as they were never sold here, the total cost i calculated came to about 60k, for a 200.000km 2013 lx570 (suposedly no crash damage), now today a 40.000km 2019 lc200 comes for sale, for, guess what, 60k. now i cant decide what is better, as most threads about this talk towing, we dont tow, so that is not a factor, a diesel lc200 is avalable for less but taxes here are bonkers so not an option, so the question: Newer, less km's, local landcruiser or an older higher km's lexus?

I think the LX is better, but it's all personal preference. Even saying that, I can't imagine a world where I would pick importing a 6 year older uninspected vehicle over a newer LC that had 20% of the km, that was local and that I could evaluate before purchase for the same price. LX isn't good enough to overcome all the benefits of the local LC.

if i import i will go there for a week to find a good one, so both will be inspected but it saves a load of hassle and ill have the car about 4/5 months sooner

If I was you, and the choice had to be between a UAE import 2013 LX570 and a 2019 LC200, for the same price, I'd pick the 2019 LC200

...Oh, and I should mention that I drive a 2013 LX570 and love it.

Were Land Cruisers sold in the Netherlands? If so, would parts and service be more available for the LC compared to the LX?

there are LC's but mostly prados, some V8's but mostly the diesel and some 4.6/4.7L petrol, verry few 5.7's even in whole of europe

2019 LC — it’s not even close. You’re either dramatically underestimating the complexity of importing or you’re discounting the headache for future service and ownership for a car that was never sold in your market. Not worth the hassle, respectively, for something like a 2013 LX570, I’m sorry.

I agree completely. The only exception would be if the OP has vast wealth and is a collector. I like LX's just fine, but, under these circumstances, it's not a logical purchase.
