@obe12 any updates?

I could have missed it but are you refreshing anything on the motor before putting this on?
Only refresh done, engine pulled for oil leaks 1. Oil pump oring around pressure port, 2. Rear oring around seal retainer. This Required oil pans removal.

Removed cams and did valve seal replacements, adjusted valve clearance, bore scopes cylinders, did leak down test on each cylinder, and seals in front of transmission. Re installed the engine with new Oem coolant hoses , water pump , thermostat, t belt, tensioners, acc belt, spark plugs, radiator, ignition coils, starter, alternator, and ac compressor. Replaced the rack and opinion earlier and PS lines, and hoses.

The mission drive 100-120k miles no issues with any item I done.

Eventually, I removed the transfer case and resealed the output shafts, installed new output bearings.

Hope this helps…

Tex

This past weekend RS had the annual Snow Run. It was awesome. The coldest I saw was 7F. 45mph gusts.

The Super Cruiser put in work! Pulled out a few trucks with snatch straps and my winch. Used the supercharged V8 to blast up through the last deep drifts before the summit.

Times like this when the Lexus really shines. Love those heated seats.

Rolled over the big 300. Forgot to get a photo at the exact moment oops. About 25k miles on the blower. Running better than ever.

Are you still running e85?

A couple updates on the Super Cruiser:

I decided to try ethanol-free gas for a few months earlier this year. All I got for it was a pair of dead cats. Noticed no real improvement in MPG nor anything else.

So far the only downside of E85 is that the evap canister fills up quicker and that leads to slow fuel fill/pump constantly shutting off. To solve it I just take the vacuum line straight from the EVAP to the intake manifold and bypass the solenoid valve. It throws a CEL but after 1000 miles or so the evap canister is all cleared out and I can put it back.

Honestly I don't know if the switch to ethanol free gas had anything to do with my cats wearing out or not. They have 300k and are original to the truck. I'm looking at some high flow 2.5" cats to install. I think I already passed emissions this year using the roadside system Colorado has in place so that's nice. I can replace them at my leisure.

Some new upgrades:

I switched to Land Cruiser torsion bars and recalibrated my AHC. So far I really love the LC t-bars! It definitely feels more stiff in the front end even with the same AHC pressures. I prefer it to before. Offroad it's a game changer, the front suspension is way smoother over all terrain. I noticed with the stock LX470 t-bars that the front end would feel like it was on a pogo stick if it ever got bouncing. @krice118 recommended I try the LC t-bars and it was the right move!

I also did the Wheeler's SuperBump bump stops up front and replaced the steering rack with Detroit Axle lifetime warranty for $280. We will see on that....

The SuperBumps combined with the LC t-bars is fantastic. The front end is sorted. Truck is perfect.

Also added some new comms. So far I have: HAM, GMRS/FRS, CB, and cell phone booster. I just added Starlink.

Love this update. I have been sitting on a pair of LC TBs for almost a year, I also think that while the AHC bars able to support the static weight, they seem to give up as soon as things get bumpy - I have a heavy truck so heavier TBs should help.

New cats on my truck. Changed to 2.5" inlet/outlet Magnaflow cats. CARB compliant. Only $190 each! (https://amzn.to/4ewljCW) and I had to add a couple o2 sensor bungs to the rear of each cat (https://amzn.to/3Be2qpX).

Truck gained a few decibels of sound. Sounds awesome but honestly a little louder than I wanted. They are thinner steel than OEM and I can hear the rumble right under the seats. It'll probably grow on me as long as my wife is ok with it :hillbilly:

Stock cats are about 1.9" inlet/outlet and there are no high-flow CARB cats so I figured going with larger inlets would help out a bit. Turns out it did! Definitely picked up some power in the midrange and high RPM, feels like the change when I added headers. Replaced the downpipes with 2.25" tubing. Supercharger boost dropped down about .5 PSI so they definitely are flowing more freely. Passed the catalyst check on the ECU right away!

Did you add the bungs on the pipe section and not the actual cat?

I'm trying to understand the modifications as ill be doing this sooner or later.

Did a full brake job on my 100. Went with a set of reman calipers and stainless lines, Powerstop Extreme pads and rotors. Couldn't resist the red powdercoated calipers. Had a couple sticking calipers, worst of all was the rear passenger caliper which had a messed up sliding pin for only the past ~100k miles.

Are they factory remans?

How are these performing?

What gave away the calipers were seizing?

They are Powerstop remans. I'm guessing they use OEM cores. I've been happy with Powerstop stuff. Saw some uneven wear on the pads and my rear caliper had a bent sliding pin that I used a grinder on and reisntalled a few years ago so I already knew that one was scuffed.
