HOLY MOLY!!!

@scottryana looks like Toyota is borrowing some of your ideas...

Those bastards!! Haha. Sure is nice to have unlimited funds and resources. Will be funny to see how fast they can go. On my project I would be out of gear at 176mph. lol.

I wonder what tire they are running? Looks like maybe a 22" tire, instead of the 20" I went with.

Why? Why? dear god Why? If i wanna go fast I'll hop in a sports car.
Please Mr. T give us a Offroad TRD package instead. Turn the Land Cruiser in a Raptor stomping beast, or the ultimate overlander.

Although the SEMA rig is a bit track oriented it is great that Mr. T is exploring what the platform is capable of.

We all know that one of the greatest things about Landcruisers is their flexibility. Whether it be an expo rig, a Raptor Stomper, a super safe family SUV, or a total sleeper filling a PSD role. The Landcruiser is capable of filling all of those roles with aplomb.

Well in the bright side I'm happy to see interest in the platform .. that will open lot's of options for that engine .. and eventually for the Cruiser model itself ..

All these small ( not so small ) things makes the Cruisers more popular, more popular = more sales, more sales = Mr. T Happy, and then Mr. T will make more vehicles, more parts that will last longer on the market ..

well at least it's how my small mind see it ..

Very cool to them put that Sequoia IRS to work.

Here is the engine.

I guess it's cool that Toyota made a statement about what they can do...

But SEMA could have been used to speak to the current and potential Land Cruiser demographic, not the fast and the furious crowd.

I'm disappointed at the lack of effort on Toyotas part to make inroads in the real off-road market in the US. It's a huge market and under-served by Toyota.

Toyota has a great platform like the FJ Cruiser, and instead of competing with the wrangler head on, they kill it after its initial life cycle.

Toyota has this amazing Land Cruiser platform, known for worldwide off-road ability and durability, and they design a high-speed version for SEMA, which they will never build.

Talk about a missed opportunity for REAL TRD upgrades to the 200 series. How about a TRD locker, supercharger, bumpers, wheels.. anything really.

I guess 2,000hp gets more headlines and maybe that's what they were aiming for.

Mr T. has answered your call as well. Ok, not exactly.

LC200 | TRD

Hmm.

Out of 17 changes, the only impact on performance: 25mm lift.

Toyota Racing Development (TRD) seems to have become Toyota's logo & sticker arm only.

**I vote Toyota hands next year's SEMA LC to one of our awesome Mud Member shops...who would truly show them what a real off-road 200 CAN be.

Exactly. A 1" lift, a front skidplate, and whole bunch of decals. And if you add up the list cost in yen at the bottom, it comes to around 15,000 dollars. This seems to be a concept as I can't find it actually for sale anywhere.

The TRD Pro Tundra upgrades are nice, but somewhat lacking. The larger fuel tank and dual exhaust are nice. The suspension is an improvement over stock for sure but lacking the lift I would like to see. I have yet to see a TRD package compete with what you get for 5-10K on the open market hand selecting upgrades. The real benefit to the TRD package is the simplicity of the packaging and factory warranty.

Bring on the ih8mud true TRD LC.

i agree, for me TRD Pro trucks are even on the mild side of things. if toyota were to do a TRD Pro land cruiser i like the use of the different grille and the suspension, but for the money i'm better off going aftermarket, its an upgrade from stock and it's easy. I do however like the badging and resale of the TRD Pro trucks. that being said i've tried to build my own version of what i would want, arb skids, bp-51's, arb front bumper, snorkel, ome 2721, spc uca's, spc hd trailing links, prinsu rack, white knuckle sliders, gobi ladder. even added the OEM "trd pro" badging!
