Tan Exterior

Tan Interior

Selling my 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser. We are the second owner of this vehicle, with it being a California truck for the entirety of its lifetime (passes emissions with no issue and tags current through November). It is in good shape, apart from a few things. Motor and transmission runs smooth. The interior is in good shape and the leather is in good condition. It is full-time 4WD. It is mostly stock on the outside with some thoughtful modifications inside; built for camping. Garaged for much of its life. The offroad trails its seen is more fireroad than hardcore, so its not beat up at all. Its only started to see light trails in the past 20k miles.

Features:

V-8 4.7L Motor

Automatic Transmission

Tan leather interior w/ heated seats

Rear climate controls

Factory Keyless Entry with Alarm

Tow package (never used)

Hi/Lo transfer case with center locking differential option

Modifications:

Nitto Terra Grappler all-terrain tires (285/75/16 size) with matching spare

Running boards removed for additional clearance and torsion bars cranked

National Luna dual battery system installed w/ second battery and in-cab monitor/control

Blue Sea fuse block in cab to accommodate future electrical expansion (aux battery)

Blue Sea USB power outlets added to 1st and 2nd rows to power devices (aux battery)

Dual LED light bars (white and red) installed on back hatch for light when camping (aux battery)

Dual locking ARB Drawer System (1 fixed top, 1 sliding top) w/ side fitment kit

Engel MT45 12v fridge mounted to ARB drawer slide (aux battery)

Yaesu 7800 dual-band ham radio w/ detachable faceplate (aux battery)

Diamond dual-band ham antenna

Labrak antenna mount (right side)

All wiring and cabling run cleanly throughout the engine bay and cab

Cargo Net behind 2nd row

Pfran LED interior light kit installed

HIR bulb headlight and high beam upgrades

Kenwood stereo head unit replacement w/ Bluetooth and handsfree calling

More recent service history highlights:

180k service performed (by Alternative Automotive) with new timing belt, new water pump, new radiator, fluids, valve cover seals, etc

Motor replacement (by Alternative Automotive) at 200k due to heater hose fitting failure

CV Boot (right) replaced as needed and front end toe checked (by Alternative Automotive) at 207k

Brake fluid flush and rear brake pads replaced at 207k

Full service history available upon request.

Known issues:

Door actuator switch in cab does not activate the power locks, but key fob remote does activate locks

CV Boot (left) needs replacement

Tick from manifold is lightly audible

Rear bumper cover was damaged in a parking lot, but underlying structure and bracketing is solid per the insurance appraisal. I have been searching for a replacement cover since it is only cosmetic. It does not affect drivability or accessing the rear cargo area or drawers.

Various minor dings, paint fading slightly in a couple areas (I try to keep it waxed to protect), and some slight trail pinstriping

I had not originally planned to sell, as I was only starting to thoughtfully build this from the inside out and beginning to enjoy it, but I have some family things that are a priority.

Thank you for your interest.

LED light bars on rear hatch are running off aux battery to preserve starting battery.

Had Toyota of Carlsbad perform a full inspection on the vehicle. Report PDF is attached.

CA Emissions Passed this week and title in hand.

I have seen this car in person and it runs great. I'm still considering it. Seller is the real deal. if you are planning on building a similar truck for overlanding you can save a lot of money here. needs nothing to go into the backcountry this weekend with a 6 pack and a few steaks in the fridge. PM or email me astrosecret at g mail if you need assistance and you're not in socal

Thank you for your kind words and endorsement!

Where did the replacement motor come from?

Interested in trades at all?

Thank you for your interest. My long-time mechanic (Alternative Automotive) put in a reconditioned motor (they sourced the motor from an engine shop they use and trust for their clients vehicles). I went with their advice since the reconditioned/refurbished motor had all new internals and had been machined and built exactly to factory spec by a engine shop they trusted and vouched for.

I’m not currently looking at trades, but PM me and we can talk.

Thanks.

Nice looking, tastefully built Cruiser. GLWS.
