2000 LC 100

First Heater isn't blowing hot air, now AC MOTOR above front passenger feet is clicking like a kid riding a bike with a baseball card in its spokes.

I already flushed the heater core with no improvement.

Is that AC MOTOR above front passenger feet easy to replace?

Are these two related? Easy fix or $1k mechanic bill?

Thank you!

Sure it's not the fan making that clicking noise? Known for getting crap in them.

It could be and I'm hoping it's the fan. It's that located above the passenger's feet?

Should i just start disassembling? I do have some mechanic skills.

Thank you TxTchRR!

You have two separate issues here. The heat not being hot could be a few different things; heater core, thermostat, coolant system having air, etc... Is the engine getting up to the appropriate temp? The second one is the blower motor clicking. Sounds like you have some trash in it. Take the three screws out of it, drop it down, and clean it out.

Is a thermostat change easy on this LC?

Haven't done it, but looks very easy based on write up. Make sure that's the issue though, could just have air in your coolant system.

I cleaned out the blower fan. Thank you!!

Now, my AC turns on and off when i hit a bump. Any ideas on that?

My AC and HEATER SYSTEM, not the blower above the passenger's feet, turns off and on if i hit a bump.

Any ideas on what is causing this?

How do you know the ac and heater system is cutting off? Because air stops coming out of the vents?

Yes. It's got to the point where I turn on my AC to high and aim for speed bumps. The right jarring hit to my LC will turn on the air conditioner.

Lose wire? Connection? Fuse? Relay? Brushes?

Anyone who might be able to help me trouble shoot, before I have to just take it to a mechanic and spend a bag of gold, would be appreciated.

Basically it sounds like your blower motor is cutting out. Make sure that you plugged it back in good when you reinstalled it.
