Hi all,

I know this has been covered previously, but I figured I'll throw together a quick video talking about the third row removal. I figured this would be helpful for those who were having trouble removing the plastic covers for the seat brackets.

Here's a close up the rearward covers:

And don't forget to seal the holes left with some heavy duty tape or the like (photo shot right after removal prior to cleaning :D)

Great video!! I am going to be removing my 3rd row seats soon and this will help. ARB drawers will invade that space very soon :)

If you're doing drawers it's also a good idea to remove the floor anchors. Just pull up the gray cover and there are two bolts (same size as the seats) per anchor. Not sure if that's in the ARB instructions as I don't know what ARB uses for anchors. I didn't have any instructions for my drawers and used those anchor points for the drawers.

HELP! Covers removed and everything unbolted, but cannot figure out how to release the seat from upright position or even pull up the seat to get it out. Also, how does the seat belt then detach??

Using the regular seat release will free it from the top locking mechanism. Once that is free, the unbolted seat will just lift up and out (heavy). The seat belt stays in the vehicle.

Use the handles in the side panels, right by the liftgate, to release the seat. It will fall over, so be careful.

Thanks for posting the video!

Anyway to remove the center seat belt? I don't like how it locks the rear view.

Great thanks guys!

thanks--figured that out--seats are in y garage-so much more rear space now

I had my 3rd row removed less than 12 hours after getting my '15 home last weekend. Pulled the right side inner panel off today and ran a piece of #4 gauge welding cable from the engine compartment to the jack location, with plenty of extra (for future aux fuse panel). Drawers are going in tomorrow.

this may be a crazy question but, after removing the seats, is it easy to re-install them? We are moving in a while and are doing a big road trip. The extra space without them in would be very nice. However, the 3rd row will likely be used in the future so I would like to re-install them. Has anyone done that?

Putting them in should be very easy. Just reverse the removal procedure. It may be helpful to have a helper help support the seats while you are putting the bolts back in.

after watching the video, it would seem easy to re-install. I was hoping someone had done it and could vouch for it. thanks!

It would be very very easy and quick to re-install, especially if you have a cordless impact driver, and you don't bother with the plastic cover pieces.
