Funny, I have the airbags and compressor in the garage. Just never installed. Perhaps I'll try these before I install the OMEs.
Did you cut the conical bump stop in the spring??

I had the coil rites but removed them and went with the constant rate OME springs instead. Couldn't be happier and my 8000#+ trailer barely squats me now.

You have to cut a few sections of the internal bumps to fit the bags, it is really easy. The problem is, you have to mount the line through the top hole vs the recommended bottom. Mine kept filling about 1/4 with water for some unknown reason and wouldnt hold air. I returned them to Firestone and the could not find a leak in the bag or the fitting (I cut the line about 2 feet after the fitting.) They gave me a refund which I put towards heavier springs. They did ride nice when they worked though. I think I just got one of those bad ones off the line since 99% of the people who have them dont have issues.

The water is coming from air going from high to low pressure very quickly. Normally, the water vapor would be released every time you purged the bags, but because the lines were top mounted, the moisture had no where to go. As you went through charge/discharge cycles, the vapor condensed more and more. This is the same reason that the inside or air compressors often rust and have to be purged of water.

INSTALLED THE OME LIFT KIT SPORT

any idea why it rides so firm and a little harsh?

is it because the "sport"?

Awesome Btuman. Hey, meant to ask, where have you mounted the winch solenoid? Engine bay or within bar?

It's in the Engine Bay- and that was a mistake. It gets too hot in there and the only time I needed it yet it failed me. I will be moving it to the bull bar.

Some snow and mud wheeling today. In two weeks my rig will be almost unrecognizable; mods will be done.

Awesome.

Man, Mississippi sucks. :bang:
