My latest mod was desert tires and rims

Beautiful!

boozewz

you have my dream mods!! ICONs and the TRD wheels! How are those tires performing in the sand? Did you import the wheels? By the way I am in the east coast of Saudi :D

hala hala el theeb...thanks for the kind comments. I had the Icons installed in Dubai, and I had them remove the KDSS cause it was just killing everything. I couldnt get rid of the lean, and the steering pulled to the right HARD under acceleration, so in the end I gave up and had the KDSS removed. There is no difference in my opinion in the way the truck handles now or before, except the coil overs are fantastic.

The Tera Grapplers are excellent in the sand when deflated to about 10psi. I have 40,000 kms on them so far, and keep rotating between a set of 6 tires. Had them imported from Cali, and the wheels from a TRD online vendor in Dallas.

boozewz,

I know ICONS for sure.. I had them on my truck when i was in cali. I bit your talking about trdparts4u.. lol..mashallah your rig is looking good.. i am thinking of getting the same rims but on balloon tires :D

Tucan, awesome pics as always. Is that El Camino de los Españoles? I crossed it back in '94 in Suzuki Samurai and I have to say I got very nervous at one point when we almost get stuck (only one vehicle, no gear, etc) but the most extreme part was when we ended up in the top of the shanty town.

Yes it is. Unfortunately it isn't half the fun since the disaster in 1999. They overdid the repairs in many sections. And you are right about the ugly areas at both ends. If anything, they are scarier now than ever.

I posted a very brief report here if you are interested in bringing back a few memories.
