Beautiful!
Thankyou!
Looks absolutely amazing.
Thankyou, Yeah that part of the Gulf is amazing with green mountains and waterfalls during its yearly rainy season.
Wow thats some serious km.. Like driving across Australia!

Can you explain what the paint /stuff is across the front of all your cars? Protection from stone chips?
Haha yeah Salalah is far - around 1400 km (one way) from Dubai. We did it in 16 hours with small breaks to cool off.
That "mudspray" is a spray paint for paint protection, as we have to drive continuously through desert highways with sandstorms most of the time, often doing 160 km/h for hours nonstop. Without this protection, the front areas literally get sandblasted and the paint gets destroyed. It’s also easily washed off in the rain or with a normal car wash.

This was applied en route before the sandstorm area, and you can see that most of it had disappeared in some of the photos.

Back from our trip out to Colorado. We covered a little over 3,800 miles trouble free.

Looks amazing. Can you give more information on the 'mudspray' or is it just literally 'mud'? On more investigation, I see some protective paints that peel off...very cool. Did not know about this, but certainly could have used some on some trails...

Thankyou.
Yeah its water washable spray paint, and widely used in this region for long cross desert trips to protect he car paint from sandstorms. In Arabic its called "تغبيرة " and yeah its mostly mud/sand like object.
But there are several types available now, washable and peelable in different colors and materials.

Looks like I missed the solution to your transmission situation. It’s good to see you’re back out on some trails and posting some jealous worthy scenery.
The solution was to sell a kidney and have Slee install a new (Toyota remanufactured) tranny.
