I bought a new RV3 Plus last year. While I was waiting for it to arrive, I also ordered the Drifta bag from AU. I'm able to get the tent packed up in the bag although I leave out the stakes as they add a bit of weight. I've done about 6 camping trips with it and original bag still holding up. Figure if it gives out, I have the Drifta to replace it.I think I have one of the newer rv4s with this updated bag you’re mentioning. it’s definitely beefier but it’s still too small imo. My first trip with this tent i had no issues putting it back in the bag. My most recent trip I couldn’t put it back in , maybe 3/4 of the tent and the rest was just unzipped. I was irritated. I have a drifta bag coming in this week, about 40 days from date of order.
I have a skybox 18 and the rv4 fits with a few inches to spare. I don’t keep the tent in there, it was just for test fitting to see if it would fit. I store it inside with the middle row center seat pass through down. I like this tent and the fact that I can stand up inside and set it up within minutes.
After a few initial uses, I ordered some options: peaked side panels, front panel, awning extension and floor saver. Used the side panels twice. The floor saver is a must have. You could say I went all in on Oztent. I store the extras inside the truck and strap down the Oztent in its bag on the roof rack. It's heavy and bulky but it's also solid and I have no regrets.
Good to know it fits inside the LC with middle row center pass thru down.
