Such a stellar road trip.
Probably questions best left for when you get back to the East coast, but beyond fluids and belts, what did you do in the way of prep before you left? E.g. woolwax, ceramic coating, road trip tape, air filters etc.
Would also look forward to hearing about any electrical or mechanical issues you may of had. Thx!

A few shots from Cruise Moab that were handy. The real work of going through all the photos and video has not yet begun. (Photo credits TBD)

Honestly, the car gets whatever the book recommends for maintenance, I go the extra mile if I’m ever in doubt. Not much to add beyond that for maintenance, the damn thing is so reliable. The car stays packed 24/7. There is very little, if any, prep work needed for a trip like this.

Fluid film in the fall every year before the snow starts, the salt in New England is wild. The entire car is wrapped in paint protection film, with ceramic coating on top. So I have no anxiety about getting it caked in mud and grime. If I stop at a self-spray carwash I can get it reasonably clean again in about 10 minutes. It’s detailed once or twice a year when I am at home.

No issues to report mechanically. Over the summer I threw a CEL on the way into CO after about 900 miles of driving that day, cleared the code and it hasn’t returned. I’m 90k miles in to this car and I love it more every day, it’s the combination of being able to go anywhere/anytime and never having to worry about reliability that really makes me happy!

Nice seeing you at Poison spider! What other trails did you do out there?

LOL, that was the other Matt (@mcgaskins) in the much sexier Silver 200 with the Rhino front bumper. I did Hells (thurs), Fins (fri) and then some exploring of Onion Creek/Kokopelli on Saturday.

Ahh you are right, that was Fins on Friday together. Wayyyy too many new names to remember haha. It's all a blur, a very good blur.

Stalking some 40s for some ideas for my current build

IMG_0875.jpg

And i posted this in the Moab thread, but here is the whole reason why I started this build 3 years ago...

Makes it look easy. Locked F/R?

Yup. I’m sure the wider stance due to the tundra swap and 35s helped as well.

Indeed. It walked right up that like it was a Rubicon on 37's and I know because I did it in one lol. Impressive. Post up more content like that please.
