Ran Pole Hill, Loop 1 and 2 this past weekend. I am still amazed at what these can do in essentially stock form. I also tried out crawl control just to see how it worked.

Yes I realize there is an 80 photo included but I like the way it turned out. Spent most of the weekend down in Southern Utah. Visited a place I've been going to for almost 20 years, but only my 5th time there because it's such a slow bumpy ride to get there, and explored a road I'd never done before and very glad we did. I'm assuming @Box Rocket got better pics of my truck than I did but it was nice to have a friend along so I could get some photos of my rig.

Hey @dmc great pics. I grew up in Southern Utah. Nice to see some of the old stomping grounds. Would love to get back. Not sure where you are coming from but, I have a few favorites not too far from where you are in these pics (I'm assuming north end of powell). PM me, I'll drop you a map link.

I live in Northern Utah. Brigham City. Grew up just north of SLC. We were actually the Southern Part of the lake. Wahweap area, then over near the Cottonwood Wash road.

Ahh gotcha...I meant north side. Next time you are on your way South, go through Cannonville, and drop into the north end of Paria Canyon. It will drop you out on cottonwood canyon road. Best 25 miles on earth.

Done it half a dozen times. Been closed since the Obama administration. I did the first time back in 98. And yes you're 100% accurate. Most scenic route on the entire planet. Sadly Utah is the plaything of political combatants and it's legal status is currently in limbo. I hiked Bull Valley Gorge over the weekend and was telling my friend about the area where it flows into Sheep Creek and it's essentially a slot canyon for cars.

Do you mean Cottonwood Road is closed...or Paria Canyon is closed?

Paria is closed. There are rumors that the new management plan for the monument might open it back up but it could be awhile. Cottonwood is nice a smooth. After it got wiped out by flooding a couple of years ago they graded the entire thing again and so far no real mud damage.

FYI - the bottom loop is nothing more than a tie down point for when the truck was shipped overseas. I wouldn't use that as a recovery point, only the forward facing portion. that is a two part pc. and you can remove the lower loop if you want. nice looking clean truck, Id be scared to own that paint.

I'm well aware! Definitely wouldn't use the tie down section as a recovery point. These are the thicker OEM recovery points/tow hooks from the Tundra, as retrofitted in this thread. They are larger overall and one piece, compared to the two piece design of the original Land Cruiser ones - arguably a bit more heavy duty. I also got them powdercoated for visibility, but I have to admit it does look pretty cool contrasting against the monochromatic truck (went with yellow to go against the norm of the typical red hooks).

Also thank you! This truck sure is hard to keep looking clean, but I've figured out a great detailing regimen that makes it a bit easier.
 
I'm in the Dominican Republic and there is a ridiculous amount of prados and 200 series cars here. Never would have imagined. How do the locals afford these vehicles?!

You’d be surprised. They are a lot of folks that are quite well off in DR. My wife is Dominican. Her family owns lots and lots of land. Her families homes are more like compounds. Big houses. Livestock. Small farms.
 
SUPER Soft Springs.

Issue: Nose dive on bump contact, chassis is not raised sufficiently on impact due to spring rate.

Pros: Rides extremely smooth and feels smooth, sometimes lack of response makes the ride feel dead, it feels like there is no bump there. My theory is that all energy is being dissipated by the shock as opposed to the spring oscillating and transferring energy to the chassis.

500lb front x 14, rear stock OEM springs.
