Darn, that would have been fun to run into you guys out there! I was around the Diablo drop off and Fish Creek wash areas.
How often do you go? We usually go every few months

We were by Shell Reef and had two ATv with us.

Had a Taco Pro and a Raptor (older 6.2L not new one) with us. Good times

Will try to meet up next time

Only every blue moon. I was actually out there with a bunch of dad's and daughters with the YMCA Indian Princess program. Dad's had fun bumping around in the trucks, while the girls watched movies on the rear screen. How they did that on the washboards without throwing up, I have no clue!

CROSSPOST
Have a couple questions:

Anyone running the Yaesu FTM400DR HAM? Just bought one and excited!
Secondly, I'm brainstorming on different places to install this thing.
Any recommendations? I'm thinking of a custom mount on the A-Pillar or up higher by windshield.

All comments, pics, and ideas welcome.

Thanks!

Nice! Are you planning on lifting it? if so how much?
Thanks - yes I'll be lifting it but no solid plan yet. Been lurking in the 80 section hunting for ideas - you know, starting over - lol

You'll have a good source on HITR with @smittycrusher joining us. He has a beast of an 80.

I'll just say I picked it up for a "reasonable" price considering the current 80 market hype.
What lured me was - White, Rust free, 1 owner, north east Texas truck its whole life, 201,000 miles and no lockers - yet. I had been looking for over a year and wasn't going to pass it up.

I had a stock 80 years ago with lockers. They really are incredible platforms, and built at all, virtually unstoppable. You'll be impressed... maybe not by the "power", but the git'r done factor is strong.

4 years of ownership, 3 LCDC’s, amazing family trips... still love driving it everyday!

I have to chuckle when I see the snow pics. Not that they aren't great. But because I'm here in Colorado and we have hardly seen any. In fact, I'm going to pull the snow tires and put the KO2s back on for a short trip over to Moab and beyond where the temps are likely to be between 35 and 65.

I didn’t even bother putting snow tires on this winter in Durango.

LOL. Usually I'm envious of seeing pics in CO, UT, etc. trekking out in the snow in LC's. We may get 1 or 2 snow "events" a year here in Charlotte and they don't amount to much.
