I don't have the loot to build my rig yet. So i decided to illustrate the direction I hope to take it. If anyone wants their Cruiser illustrated I would be happy to do so for a small donation to my build fund.View attachment 1609834

Beautifully done!
I'm curious about your process for these. Curious, as it's something of a mystery to me as a non-artist... :)

You should chat with @ethernectar, who is also skilled at such things...and also a great guy.

Anyway, great work.

We were pretty much the only vehicle on 46 on the way back except for an 80 taking a break by the side of the road. Falken at3w tires continue to impress in adverse conditions.

How are the seats in the Pre-2015 LX vs. the LC? My lower back would get sore after sitting in the LC 200 for an hour or more. I’m debating whether to get a 2015 LX or 2016-17 LC. I will most certainly add a arb bumper/winch and slightly larger AT tires 34” max and Slee sliders

Unfortunately I have never had any long seat time in a 200 LC to compare but I have not had any issues with the seats in the LX after long drives. Aside from the just the seats which look different and maybe a bit cushier I think the ride on the LX is generally a bit smoother/softer than the LC as the AHC suspension constantly adjusts the dampening as needed to keep things smooth vs the static suspension.

The seats are likely similar between the LC and LX. Though the LX has always had 1-2 adjustments beyond the LC drivers seat. Something like 10-way adjustable on the LC vs 12-way adjustable on the LX. I believe the current 2018 LX is up to 14-way adjustable? If those adjustments are key to your comfort, than that should help.

Passenger seats (vs driver) generally have somewhat less adjustments. So you'll want to research the specific model years you're comparing.

I've found my LC seats incredibly comfortable on extremely long drives...but only after a "discovery" I made about driving position in general.

Forgive me if this seems silly...but as a fairly intelligent guy...I discovered my approach to seat comfort had been totally wrong for years...
I mention it only because it was a breakthrough for me...
-Some years ago, I made a "discovery" as a tall guy...that I had been putting my seat (in various vehicles) too far back. This meant my legs were too extended, and too straight, which was causing lower back pain. I had long attributed it to bad seats, ergonomics, etc....but in recent years, I've finally (duh) discovered that I needed to sit CLOSER, which lets my knees bend more naturally, and the positive effect on my lower back was incredibly improved.

I'm 6'3" tall, with a torso of a 6'5" guy. I drop the seat to its lowest level...thigh support to its highest level...and move my seat well forward of the rear-most spot...with the seat back a little more reclined than most folks. Has done wonders, despite non-stop drive times as up to 20+ hours without a break...numerous days in a row. After 20 hours, you are gonna be stiff no matter what...but my seat keeps me in remarkably good shape considering the time.

^ Similar here. Wrists should hit rim of wheel at 10 and 2.

On every vehicle excpet the 200, I operate with the seat front all the way up and the seat rear all the way down. With the 200, I find that puts my sight level a bit low over the cowl and I have the seat rear about mid. I'm 6' 0".

Maybe I need to revisit this seat positioning in the LC. The funny thing is, my 08 never bothered me and then the MY14 starting bugging my lower back after a few months of owning it. Maybe it was a bit far back. I almost always kept the back rest pretty vertical though. I like the fact I can alter the 200 a bit easier vs. the LX. I’ll have to test drive a MY15 LX next week. I personally prefer the interior of the MY18 LX but the front end does not allow an arb bumper and that’s a big priority as I see Elk daily.
