I have something in the works, and no, there is NOT a kit available.

I've been doing a lot of research, talking to vendors, and machinist.

To be quite honest, it will not be easy. But, I do not think it will be impossible.

I am planning on buying 2 sets of 1" shims, I will install both at the same time (2" body lift) and see how everything lines up. If there is an issue, I'll just remove one of the shims at each location, giving a 1" lift.

I've spent the past 3 mornings under the truck getting things figured out.

2" is the max I want, as I don't want to run into too many issues with the steering rod and other various lines, cables, and wires.

Have patience.

Is there an advantage to having a body lift, other than looks? Just curious.

Decreased rubbing with larger tires, and the ability to run larger tires without extra lift.

Our race truck has a 3in body lift and we run 37's with some fender trimming. It was done using 5in pieces of machined aluminum replacing the stock mounts. Everything works fine by the center console is obviously out of alignment with the shift lever. It works fine in a race truck but would look really goofy in a daily driver.

Can you post some pics of your goofy center console just to see how far out of alignment the shifter is maybe with the 2" lift it could be acceptable and not too far out? Talking about goofy i saw a mini cooper today with those retarded eyelashes on the headlights

Got a pic of the center console?

Can you explain what you mean by "out of alignment"?

I'll get a pic. We don't have any plans to work on the truck in the next few weeks but I'll try and stop by the shop where we keep it and snap a few. Best way to describe it is the shift gate is attached to the tranny and the console is attached to the body so there is a huge gap between the two. I can take some pics of the body mounts as well.

Other Toyota platforms have an adjustable shift lever which helps realign/raise the shifter. My 4Rs were simple to adjust, just loosen a nut, slide lever by hand and tighten. Perhaps there is something similar on these.

I read the FSM, and yes, there is an adjustment nut on the linkage. I don't think there is enough play to make up for a big body lift.

that cuda is down the street from me. It's the only Cuda to be badged Chrysler and the only cuda to be on the Chrysler racing circuit. It's won more races than any car ever. found in a barn in France and owned by gipsies

Edit: sorry, hijack of my own thread over

2" is the most i want too...preferably 1.5"

I could be talked into a 1 inch maybe, but I would rather try and figure out a way to get another inch out of the suspension. I wish there were more options for lifts on 200 series LC's

Sorry, I noticed the Cuda right away and then the Cragars...Oh wow!

@dmc can you provide a picture of the center console on Monica, if there is adjustment in the linkage for the shifter, then there may be a way to also do an extension, so I'll put that on my list to investigate..

anyway... wheels turning on future possibilities, on a 1 and 1.5" body lift... which is totally common in my other area I focus on....
The radiator looks pretty easy to get in place.. well with the right machined parts anyway..
