what about the 17" FJ wheel that looks very similar? also 8" wide?

Are people keeping stock gearing with the larger tires? Im about to put 33s on my truck with rock warriors but, I am upgrading my gears to 4.88s. I know this is all on a different thread, but I guess I'm just surprised at people running larger tires without changing their gearing...
If with the 4-sp, I'd recommend to run (at least) 34" tires if regearing to 4.88's... unless you live/travel at high altitude or tow all the time. 285/75R17's would be a good size for the RW wheels.

If i run a 28/75R17, would it be necessary to regear? I don't tow with this truck, but I do haul a load when we go camping...
id love to save money and not regear. The dudes at justdiffrentials suggested I regear so its been stuck in my head that I need to regear to maintain drivability.

Has anyone tried a set of 20" Tundra Wheels with 275 55 20 tires that come on the 2016 Tundra on a 2000 Land Cruiser or similar tucks with stock suspension? Would this work? I have a 2000 LC with 16" wheels and keep seeing like new take offs for sale from Tundras on Craig's list reasonable.

I have a taller 275 on my tundra BBS with stock suspension. Look through a few prior pages for my pics and info.

royr If you read through the thread and other posts there are a bunch of folks running them. They fit. They're heavy. The front caps don't fit without hammering the crap out of the grease caps or getting spacers. They ride really nice on the road and around town but you can feel their bulk in handling. Haven't had them in the mud yet, but plenty of rainy wet roads and luv 'em for that. Hoping to try them in the snow this weekend.

New Tundra wheels with Spidertrax spacers (front and rear) - love these!

In my search for what my LC would look like with different Tundra wheels I think it would be nice if we had a thread where everyone who has tundra or different than LC stock rims could post up in one thread so we can all get an idea of what they look like.
And it would be real helpful if everyone who DID post a pic included the year of their LC/LX and what rims and tires they put on, as well as stock susp or lifted - there are a lot of variations out there...

Mine is an '03 LC, 1.5" lift, 285/70-18 BF Goodrich AT KO tires - best I can tell these wheels were available as an upgrade on the 2014+ Tundra SR5.

For anyone that's been following this thread my 10mm spacers came in last week from Motorsport Tech. I had a few minutes of free time over the weekend to put them on with the Rock Warriors.

As expected the flat TRD caps don't work with these in the front so I will need to go to the cone style caps posted by another member a few pages back.

Tires are 315/70r17 BFG KO2

Steelman, those look great!! I bought a 100 series that will be here in 1.5 weeks from Arizona so I've started searching for a set of RW's to mount some 315's on.
Here's a pic of the new rig. It's a 99 with 98,000 miles, front and rear lockers, dual batteries, 4.88 gears, 43 gallon long range fuel tank...........all it needs is some different wheels.

Bought these ST Maxx for the trailer. Like them a lot! Eventually they'll make it onto the truck as well. Same size as the Nitto Trails that are on the 100 behind it.

@OregonLC What kind of trailer hitch is that? I have a shackle hitch now but hate switching between that and a ball all the time. Would love to have a 2-in-1.

That looks like a BIOR bumper without a swing out installed to me. If you open the pic full size you can see the other shackle hiding in the background.

For my 98 LC (Champagne pearl) I bought 2007 Tundra 18s with Wild Country XTX tires (265/70/18s - 32.5") for $250 locally (very good deal IMHO), plasti-dipped them 4 coats, finishing with anthracite grey - stock suspension, cranked in front to level out - love it;)

anyone know how the wheel offsets/backspacing compares between the tundra vs. LC/LX wheels?
