1987 4Runner, got a pretty bad punch in under the right rear tailight as shown in pics...
I was thinking of having sheet metal plates built at my dads shop to cover the area, after cleaning it out, and wrapping around towards the front a foot or so. Added off road protection and dent repair. :meh:
What in the humble opinion of YT is the best way of getting rid of this dent?
Thanks

Oh, just fill it with bondo!!! :D

No no no... cover it with Great Stuff foam, shave down to fit.

(just kidding! Don't do this!)

Ya, all that rusty stuff has to be cut out and new metal welded in.

I would try to find a replacement panel and weld it in. Going to be a lot easier and cleaner.

Triple ditto. Get a boneyard patch and weld it in. There is too much rust. Make sure you find out how much of the panel needs to be replaced first before getting the replacement.

just cover it in bumper stickers, and call it a day...

X3 on the replacement body panel idea.
