I have both my auto transmission hardline assemblies, if you need them. You can have them.

@Mag71k5 crazy timing, and thank you! However, I now know they're M14x1.5 - Today I went to 3 auto parts stores in a row, until I ended up in the back-of-house racking of an o'reilly going through random bins of fittings marked "NO REFUND", and found three of the fitting I needed. I asked how much and the store associate said, "I think we'll Merry Christmas those for you". Nice.

So I picked up some 3/8" NiCopp line from them and started dreaming up some hard lines. I drilled and tapped a hole on the trans bell housing to use an OE line bracket, still using adhesive lined heat shrink out here. Depending on trans temps, the heat shrink might be re-activated, but we'll see.

Planning to re-use the small steel hard line section from the 1FZ that routes along the engine, up to the rubber lines at the front. The FTE doesn't have mounting provisions for the brackets in the same location, so I'll have to come up with some solid places to mount it using the OE brackets.

I had ordered an OE FTE turbo dump gasket and OE nuts and used those instead of the gasket provided by PPD to mount the turbo dump. As expected, the Toyota gasket looked to be 10x better quality.

• Original 8mm feed line converted to the return line (fuel tank side) - need to figure out what in world metric threading was used on those flare fittings there, and was thinking get an AN fitting to mate with the flare with an 8mm/5/16" hose barb on the other side.

no need to worry about the threading. cut off the tube and use a flaring tool to make a bead on tube. the GM style fuel fitting flare tooling works the best but the 1st stage of a double flare or a bubble flare also works fine. it's just a return line with no pressure on it.

i reused the 1fz hard lines. They are alot different then the 1hd lines. I could get the front factory bracket to work with a little bending but that's it. Had to custom make a bracket at the rear of the engine that hangs off one of the oil pan bolts. lines are very close to the starter, not sure if you could replace the starter without unbolting all the hard lines or not. The 1hd starter is way bigger then the 1fz.

@TheBussman this is a good trick and is how I put a barb on the end of the trans cooling lines and on both ends of the 1/2” fuel supply line. I hadn’t tried this on the steel lines but I will today before making the trip to summit for an AN adapter.

I managed to follow the original 1FZ routing, by removing a small section in the rubber isolation in each bracket, then using adhesive lined heat shrink as a hedge against abrasion with the bracket. I didn’t get any photos of it installed, but here’s how I modified the fuel line brackets

The 1HD starter has got to be double the size of the 1FZ starter for sure, might be a squirrelly job the replace later.
