Has anyone identified JIS Toyota hardware part numbers to replace the generic hardware that was originally supplied with the s/c to make it look more factory?
Wondering about silicone hoses to replace the elbows.
If anyone has a recommendation for any deviations from the original instructions, please chime in.

Just a thing that I was on the coolant hose bandwagon but turned out coolant pipes seeped water, but were great for air passage pipes.

Silicone coolant pipes were a thing from the early ’00’s that proved out to weep water - so air pipes are fine, but water/liquid ones, you’re just better going w/ conventional rubber hose.

— my take after trying silicone / Samco hoses on a few vehicles & finding OE rubber > silicone for hoses that carried liquid in a DD type use.

Don’t have a Toyota number for you but it would be really inexpensive and easy to just measure your bolt lengths and order new ones from bell metric. They sell JIS bolts and are very high quality.

Changed intake number 6 last shim by loosening intake cam in FSM sequence, a screwdriver and magnet.View attachment 3913317View attachment 3913318

I see you already did this but for future reads they make a tool just for this job. It’s a Toyota SST part # 09248-55050
You don’t need to remove the cams to replace shims.

Yeah, I was just thinking for the air intake hose for the supercharger as TRD used some heavy stuff there that puts a lot of weight on the flimsy air cleaner cover bolt.

Yeah, I ordered the other style and it didn't work.

Started the process of cleaning the parts and the flywheel adapter is a really nice piece that is anodized or something.

I have no idea how long the supercharger was in operation, but it definitely gets oily and gums up parts.

Note to self:
29ft pounds for the A/C idler
32ft pounds for the Alternator idler

I noticed the idler pulley is slightly larger than the metal 2UZ one. I wonder if it would work.

Installed the plenum and supercharger mount. I realize it’s probably gonna be easier when I get the hoses to reinstall the plenum adapter, but for now just to mock it up is good. I did use a fiber washer on the internal bolt instead of flange sealant.

Speaking of hoses for the intake, is there anything I need to know about silicone hoses for this application? Are there differences in ones that are automotive grade?

Turns out the Plenum bolts and the internal supercharger mount bolt are JIS. They have 12 mm heads.

Installed the brake booster pipe.

Installed the pipe plug where the original brake booster hose goes. I’m guessing this is where people hook up their boost gauges?

I have one that i didnt end up using for a project if youre interested, AEM HD water/meth injection with the 5 gallon reservoir
I bought it as the controller was more intuitive and seemed the most user friendly, they are well rated kits

Ordered a throttle body gasket, silicone hoses, clamps, and flex loom to refresh wear items on the kit.
