Test fit the throttle body to mass air flow hose. It looks like the wiring harness and cruise control cable are going to rub on something like the aluminum a/c line if not careful. @lumbee1 & @doc_random yours are routed different than mine were originally.

From post #327 @lumbee1 notes the wires were extended. I also extended those wires using splices that were soldered and covered with marine grade heat shrink. Mine was installed in 2001(!). I did not install it myself, but did add the exteneders as the harness was too tight. A dim memory is that TRD included harness extenders in later kits.

I'm talking about how in your pic the main harness runs inside the intake hose between the air cleaner and throttle body. Looks like that might be a better way to go as well as how you have the cruise cable routed.

The Magnuson SC instructions from Jon Bond's website show the reducing coupler off the MAF.
95% of the instructions (pictures and words) come from the TRD 2008 manual. Neitheer speaks to the wires being too short.

A coupled of MUD threads talk about extending the harness.

Just a few pictures from Slee.
Mine was "Kazuma" branded. There are some other pictures floating around on vehicles for sale.

I tried using my original harness however it was crispy and every injector connector broke. The $550(?) for a new wire harness seemed like a solid investment and eliminated any chances of electrical gremlins after the supercharger install.

It felt a bit odd cutting up a brand new main engine harness, however I can assure you that the wires won't reach and extending is the best way to address it.

Yeah, I have a plan for extending the wires. What I'm looking at is whether to put the main wiring harness between the air hose and fire wall or run it forward of the air hose like in the pic of post #334.

Nice. I think I’m going to have to mount the methanol pump there.

Installed a new breather hose. Went back to rubber.

Depinned the 2 throttle body harness wires that were short and made a loop so not create a break point to run it along the main wiring harness so it can exit with the MAF sensor wires.

The 2 depinned wires were then taped every 3 inches with a minimum of 3 wraps.

Built 2 extension wires to extend the harness without cutting. Used same striped wire.

Making some progress up and over the valve cover inside the main harness.

I finished the harness last night. It’s tedious things like this that just flare up my RSD. Combination of Tessa tape, heat, tape, heat shrink and header wrap. Pretty happy with how it turned out so that I didn’t have to cut the wiring harness. I did a final wrap with heat tape over everything.

I’m wondering how the throttle body cables should be routed.

Well, after looking at different pictures and the diagram on the instructions noticing people running their cables and hoses in different ways, I messed around with the accelerator cable and found the sweet spot where it seems to work the best. Had to slightly bend the cable bracket to get it at the right angle for the new installation. Then I secured the cruise control cable and adjusted the transmission cable. It turned out about as good as it could. I can see marks where the cruise control cable had previously tried to wear a hole in one of the air condition lines so zip tied that up out of the way.

Then I started running vacuum hoses. There were a couple of retainer clips from the original supercharger hose I reused. The brake booster pipe is pretty tight with the heater control valve lower hose so I’m going to try to reposition it.

A lot of this stuff needs a little massaging work to get it fit right as it doesn’t fit like an OEM part. I might still tweak the brake booster pipe to get it off the heater hose line under the heater control valve but for now I just put a rubber hose over it to protect it. I tried to install the intake hose from the supercharger to the Plenum and realizing that it doesn’t even lineup at the same height, so that’s why I’ve been fighting it so much. The only way I can see this working is have the metal pipe tweaked.

Well, I keep massaging and rerouting hoses and stuff for what seems to just fit the best with less kinking.

Looking at the air cleaner to throttle body pipe clearance and how the cruise control cable and main wiring harness can easily rub, I added a retaining clamp to pull the harness towards the firewall using a longer bolt and collar to fit around the a/c body mount. I can see previous rub marks from both pieces.

Had a friend help me cut the last two hoses and other than missing one clamp we’re almost there with the supercharger part of the install.
