I am building a head from a new head subassembly. Old one cracked. Planning to reuse cams and other valvetrain components. Will use new valves (Rocky Engine Valves). Questions are how to remove the coolant nipples (PHH and Bypass) on the old head. I might just order new ones, but would appreciate advice for install. Heat area with torch or heat the whole head to remove/install the nipples? Are they pressed in with an interference fit? Also, any advice on valve guide to valve stem oil clearance measurements would be appreciated. I am following the FSM. Using split ball bore gauge and micrometer.
