1fz-fe Misfire/stumbles in when put into gear! (2 Viewers)

I have a 1993 LC , after the parts cannon, the truck seems to idle FiNe when in park and even rev up smooth, but as soon as I put the truck in drive/reverse etc. It stumbles and hiccups, almost dies. Parts replaced are:
Dizzy
Dizzy cap
Button
Plug wires
Plugs
Coil pack
Fuel filter+reg. + pump
Cleaned injectors
Grounds are fine..
I'm down to the ignitor (as it supposed to send a high voltage signal to the coil pack)... can somebody point me in the right direction...?

They all seem good but i think I'm gonna have to look REAL CLOSE!! I have heard about 3 or 4 times that it sounds vacuum related..., I will re-inspect all the hoses.

No the check engine light wont stick, itll flash as you fumble into 200 rpm tho lol

Smh...man..nah...this truck was just running...I didn't want to jump into complete overhaul just yet i was born in 1992...maybe this vacuum line thing is more major than I realized....I sprayed some carb/choke cleanr around to idle take plenum and around the hoses in sight but I didn't hear any changes ....

If you don't know when the vacuum lines and intake hose were last replaced, it's a fairly cheap and easy (albeit time consuming) thing to rule out. Throw a new air filter in while you've got it apart.
It's much more likely to be vacuum related than fuel or ignition.

Same symptoms, when I put it in Drive and try to move forward, it stumbles, seems like it's really lean while stumbling and after a couple blocks, it throws a code 52 Knock Sensor code. The Knock Sensor, I replaced with the expensive $250 OEM part. The shielded wire is intact, and I have continuity to the ECU. My list of things I've replaced or done includes all the things you have done, and then a LOT more.

I'm frustrated and frankly, I've given up as me and two other Land Cruiser Mechanics can't figure it out as well.

The front O2 sensors are deleted and I don't have a code for the rears!

I hate to say this , but it's great to see this issue on another truck! This has been a heck of a head scratcher. I'm about to try and replace the "pre-ignitor" with a "new" one from the parts store to see what happens.
Also I have noted this...one day the truck was acting funny while out and about, I went to check hoses and the one thats under the intake on the driver side (attached to the vacuum switch[green tag on mine]) was falling off, i put it back on and the strangeness went away. Now when the truck is idling and I go and mess with that vacuum hose I can't hear a difference.
My thought is maybe that vacuum switch has seized.
I really hate to just keep buying sh*t and launching it at the truck...lol..but , I just cleaned my IACV and T/B , throwing it back on, if no sauce, I will proceed to replace all vacuum lines and try ignitor! Be back with updates

Oh I hope someone figures this out i have the same issues with my 1994. It only dose after I've driven it a while and leave it parked. I've replaced the fuel pump and filter.,dizzy cap,plugs, transmission solenoids ,. HELP

Timing is what I think , DEAD ON, even grabbed a timing light , i think it's at 5°,and consistent now that I replaced the dizzy..

Ok, so replaced the ignitor with a new one, the truck on cold start did not idle up past maybe 300 rpm.., then I noticed that the rpm gauge wasn't working...I think this is an ecu problem..., the ignitor made no change, and we checked all the vacuum lines again while re-installing the throttle body....I wish I could find somebody local that had an ecu to swap out...be back soon!

You have no oxygen sensors?

A 93 would originally have nothing post cat and 2 pre cat sensors

Ive got the back 2, but the ones right off the engine have been blocked off, they never caused any issues other than stinky exhuast
