What are you using for the insulation material on the bus bar?
West epoxy with milled fibers. The “box” is laminated E glass cloth and carbon fibre.

Wow, that sounds like a whole new skillset is required 🤣

Not super difficult, just practice, it’s part of my professional skill set as an aircraft mechanic/structural repair tech.

Clean work !

Very nice !

More details…

Did not want a constant hot feeding the winch for safety reasons. Luckily I have the OEM main “magnet” that I control with a switch and added a power indication lamp powered by the output side.

Switch and lamp courtesy of aircraft recycling 🍻

I dislike zip ties so I control wires by lacing cord, same as in aviation applications.

One thing I must say is there is not a lot of real estate in the 80’s engine bay!

Added a switched buss bar. Used fuse tap on charge 7.5 amp fuse. A 5 amp fuse feeds the buss, it’s only for relay activation.

There is a empty spot in the fuse box that can use a 95220-21000 (20 amp) relay. Female spades need to be added but it’s doable. I thought about it as I have all necessary parts but didn’t feel like doing it.
