I've made it this far because wood shims and duct tape exist.

Old school radio deserves to play the greatest rock band ever. :)

My setup. An OEM 2din from a Sienna.

The transmission shift knob is vintage leather from an 85 Supra and the transfer knob is a leather 80 Series with the proper pattern to boot.

Hello,

Provided there is no need for additional gauges, I like the look of a double DIN radio in a 70 Series.

I like Charles/ @1978HJ45 's single DIN setup.

My two cents.

The single din radio / custom engine instrument display is simply another option for those like myself that do not want to modify their dash pod. Although the elevation changes little in S.W. Georgia and the local temps. only vary from hot to damn hot, I do like my altimeter and inside/outside temp. gauges.

@cruiserdan ..... What is that big stick thingy in the middle with the numbers on it? (1-5/R)? My Cruiser doesn't have one of those. Considering your radio came out of a van it should be popular with the Troopy guys. (You know, from one van to another). :)

I don't even see a panel van in that photo. You sure you're driving a Land Cruiser?

In the middle of a 750 acre pasture. The cows were very impressed. :)

My 70 Series recovery point was prototype #1 and was fabricated with the aid of a plasma cutter. I got to see the results of a laser cutter on version number 2. A very slick process. Off to be powder coated than installed. I should have photos in a couple of weeks.

After nearly 6 months of operation, the tiny little LED bulbs are still performing well. :)

Hello,

Those tiny LEDs are a great upgrade...

Well you can definitely see the gauges for the first time. :)

There are many obvious advantages to LED lighting (brightness, reliability, low power requirements, etc) however by far the greatest thing about those tiny little bulbs all clustered together is the ability to get even the biggest dumbass to dim their lights. :)
