I am counting on it. Especially the scouting trip in the 77

Not even in the same ballpark.
I suppose you are right. Sitting at the cool table wasn't that big of a deal.

Why painting or touching up a vintage Cruiser is so much fun......
You put the paint code in the computer and it spits out 3 possibilities. One for an Isuzu, one for a BMW and one for a Toyota. So you chose the one for the Toyota (makes sense right) but lo and behold it doesn't match. Close but no cigar.
Fun times.....

Some more tech ..... Thanks Dan / Kinda ironic that a bumper that is made of recycled beer cans is held together with 500 parts. (The schematic reminds me of one of those "Where's Waldo" books)

Why these projects seem to take so long .......
The leading edge of the hood had a fair amount of "road rash" which varied from a few scratches to more significant rock chips. The original idea was to lightly buff out the scratches and go from there. That eventually morphed into a full scale assault on the rock chips from inside the hood. The "touch up painting" has now evolved into wholesale painting of the hood and fenders. Fun times ....... :)
