The above post proves that the illusion is working. 75% of these switches are fake and are simply installed to impress the passengers and make us look really smart.
 
You will notice that my bumper is open ended to accommodate the trim pieces.

That would make sense.....I wonder if the owners manual and labels are written in French.....
 
Those 70/74 bumpers are perfectly designed to punch a hole in the corner of your quarter if you tag a rock with it. Terrible design.
I speak from experience :D
Perhaps that's why the 77 Series has trim that fills in that gap.
 
I would expect so. Much more bodywork-friendly design.

Not that I ever used it on my BJ74 but I was somewhat surprised to see that the 77 Series didn't have a rear heater in the console. With the increased interior space I would have thought one would be installed.

Yup. That's where I mounted the24-12 volt converter in my former 73
 
Electrical brains to manage the various lights. They will be attached to the forward battery box.
