There are rubber strips under the brackets that serves to protect the finish on the rather expensive brush bar and also creates a "slip resistant" surface. I'm sure you could crank down on the turnbuckles enough to eventually make the brackets move a little but I can't see why you would. The current tension will easily move the average limb over the light bar which was the goal. The fender mounted mirrors will fold in and tuck under the risers.are they just friction fit? what keeps them from moving? like if you cranked too hard on the turn buckle wouldn't it rotate some more ?

Thanks, I have since installed some very nice rubber mats (Land Cruiser logo) front and rear. Thanks for the reply.These are no longer available. However there is a rubber set from GRJ76 that is available that i can get from Japan.
