OK, OK

I bought that new in 1988. It started out as a standard cab. I still have it today, all 22 feet of it.
Very unique and damned nice looking!

Thank you.

The shop has just installed a 4B-T into a 60 Series and it appears to be a match made in heaven.

NO THANKS........ Worst possible combo ever.....
Agreed .... Think I'd rather the Isuzu 4 cylinder. The one I have been in is very noisy and shakes you to death ....

I grew up around radial aircraft engines so to me the noise and shaking is the cool part. :)

Perhaps saying the 60 Series + Cummins is a match made in heaven was a tad inaccurate. (There was no divine intervention in the installation). What I should have said is that the installation is fairly straight forward, provides good power and increased fuel economy. Although it is not necessarily my cup of tea, the engine has excellent parts support and has proven very reliable.

Cummins swaps should include massive stereos with gillion-watt speakers. :rimshot:

If it doesn't wake the neighbors as you leave for work in the mornings, why have it in the first place.

cummins in a Cruiser, HELL of a combo ... as in why the HELL would anyone want a noisy rattly torque monster in a great truck?
what i am curious about, 5 years later, how is the truck holding up to the shake rattle and roll? how are the diffs holding up? front springs? bushings? loose bolts inside the truck?
finally, if i had a customer that really hated his wife, i MIGHT recommend the cummins so he wouldn't have to listen to her.

Did you not pack a camera?
We would all enjoy seeing a pretty girl standing in front of a '57 Bel Air.

Need I remind you that in order to meet your own rules Charles, and to stay in Tech, the vehicle would have to be a Diesel, preferably a Toyota (other than 2L-TE) ;)

The way many of the Cuban cars have been cannibalized, they may indeed have a diesel including the 2L-TE. :)
