now, drive it like you stole it ... seriously. don't be afraid to use the RPMs. lugging will be harder on it than the RPMs
and change the oil very soon, put cheap oil in with new cheap filter, then change the oil again after 1500 miles.
after that change as usual.
use dino oil for the first 10,000 miles to help seat the rings faster.

congrates.

Thanks ........
Pushing the 2H hard will require a total change in attitude for me. I have been babying that thing since I first bought it. :)

Dan, The right side of the switch is "spring loaded" and if you hold it down it will activate the rear window washer.
*Sorry for the poor quality photo......

i understand.
a newly rebuilt engine needs a variety of rpm and load.
if you don't feel comfortable driving it hard then load the back up with wood or stone and go for a nice long drive down the back roads (or tow a trailer loaded).
this works the engine and helps the rings to seat properly

Are you crazy........
A load of wood or worse yet, stone, would possibly scratch my pristine rear bed. :D
Not to mention I am fairly sure there is manual labor associated with the loading of said wood or stone. :)

I can come help you break it in

That's the 3rd or 4th offer I've had. Who would have thought that anyone would want to drive a 29+ year old truck that rides like a buckboard. :)

The engine builder wants to put about 40-50 miles on the truck tomorrow so I am headed to the southern part of the county where there are numerous rolling hills.
We plan to change the oil in the 300-400 mile range.
The valves were adjusted again today.

After seeing that purdy engine and all, now I'm never going to be able show my buggy on this site. You have raised the bar beyond my ability to compete. I give up, you're the winner.:D

Finally back home !!!!!!!!

I was able to do something today that I have never been able to do with this truck...
..... Accelerate in 5th gear while going up a hill. :D

Granted the hill was not the Rockies and I didn't have to worry about blacking out from "G" forces but I still accelerated. :)
I can't wait until dark to try out the Lightforce HID's. It will be nice to be on the giving end instead of the receiving end of those "white" lights.

On a clean floor.....................

That concrete is grooved so the bodily fluids would be there forever. :)

I bet you're a happy man to have it back.

My daughter is the only one who isn't happy to see the truck come home. She has been parking in my garage space for the last couple of months. As of yesterday, her Honda has been displaced. :)
